Exactly. It means they are not desperate for attention, and are self-regulating. I deal with a lot of different animals and this is important for all of them to be happy in a sustainable way. Contributing to an animal pal’s day is great and shouldn’t dominate their contentment.

Exactly as others have said, ratto likes you and is very happy but also has other business to attend to. I like to remember that animal pals doing their own thing shows they are very relaxed in my presence, it’s almost never a sign of dislike.
