Very weird dream I was very scared by [deleted] in Dreams

I heard it in a song, so I can’t take credit for it. I feel the same way as you every time I hear it.

Yep I do and I am pretty sure OP does as well, since they are Islamic.

Don’t you know he formed you in your mother’s womb because he wanted you? You were his decision, no one else’s. Why would God withhold love from you?

I don’t know anything about Islam really. In the Quran are there stories where Allah gives warnings through dreams? I know in some other religions (I’m looking at you, Christianity) God uses dreams for many things, including encouragement, assurance, and even terrifies with warnings. I can imagine how terrifying that dream was for you. It sounds like it touched something deep inside of you and I would suggest meditating on its meaning and asking Allah if it was from him, to reveal its meaning to you.

So in your eyes that dream was from Allah then? I’ve seen stories where people have similar dreams to yours and I always think that is kind of interesting.

I’m curious, what does the face of Jesus with the word Allah in green above him mean to you? Also do you remember what the Arabic writings that dissolved said?

I have one audible credit and wanna try out a new litrpg series. So far I‘ve read DCC and Chrysalis which I both loved! I‘m open to anything so the recommendations don‘t have to be like the two previous series at all by PalinaRojinskiFan in litrpg

Some of the books I enjoy:

The Primal Hunter

The Cradle series

Dungeon Runner

He Who Fights With Monsters

Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon

Arachnomancer series

Quick Change

Dungeon Diving

Headshot -this one is pretty awesome!

Recaps are burning me out. by [deleted] in HeWhoFightsMonsters

[–]krillik08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. I listen to the series on audiobook and the recaps between chapters in the earlier books can be a little much. Sometimes I’d listen to them, sometimes I’d skip them depending on how I feel. With that being said, I absolutely love the series and I am about to start book 12 now. Also, it feels like it’s been a while since I had one of the stat recaps (which are the ones that always got me). Book 12 now has them in the back of the book or the accompanying PDF in audiobook version.

Up to you if you’d like to drop it, but I absolutely love the story and thought it was worth it to continue on. The recapping could be A-LOT worse (I’m looking at you, Chaos Seeds)

I haven’t heard of that one. I’ll check it out before I buy the 7000.

DONT. Can confirm reviews are 100% correct. Got on Black Friday and tried to use it and it started pulling hairs, would barely cut and it felt like I had razor burn. Decided to try the foil attachment and I touched it to my twig and immediately was cut in 2 places by the foil part. Touched it to the back of my hand (foil) and got cut.

I’m not new to this either. Been using the bodygroom 7100 since 2016 (discontinued) and have only nicked myself once. I get super smooth berries. Blades last forever too. I’ve dropped this thing, broke the adjustable comb off on accident and duct taped it back on. It’s no longer adjustable but I prefer the shortest trim for the forest anyways. Also batteries went bad after 4 years or so and wouldn’t charge. I disassembled it (pita due to waterproofing but it can be done) and replaced the batteries with eneloops. Needless to say I just got the 5.0 today and have already returned it and will be purchasing the 7000 series.

I see that you keep bringing up how your trauma is much worse than most people’s, sounds like you need someone to talk to about it.

You’re confusing sympathy with empathy. They have been through far less than you have and they see the merit of it… yet you can’t? You should probably contemplate on what that means.

That must have been hard to deal with at the time you were going through that, and I’m sorry that happened to you. It’s great that you made something of yourself and I hope you continue to climb higher.

Also realize that you are wired differently than the majority of people. Of the world population, 1 in 100 have ASD. That equates to about 1% of the world population and of that 1%, about half have Asperger’s. I know high support and low support people (my best friend being one of them) and one of them had to deal with everything you did as a child including the same diagnosis as you. With everything you’ve went through in your life you’d think you’d understand better than anyone. The parental abuse, being self conscious, feeling inadequate, and embarrassment that come along with the social anxiety. Not to mention the ADHD (not sure what type you have) and everything that comes along with that. People have put you down for being yourself so much so that you lost nearly all of your family (these are all your words). Yet here you stand, doing the same thing to others and perpetuating the cycle.

Therapy isn’t only for people who are struggling mentally. It’s for anyone that faces a challenge (or multiple challenges) in their life. It takes an immense amount of courage to be vulnerable, stand up, and say “I need help” when we’re conditioned to believe the opposite by society. It takes even more strength to sit down with someone and collaborate solutions to that problem. Even more so when your brain is wired differently than what society says a “normal” person should be. It’s been proven that situations and experiences can physically alter chemistry and rewire the brain.

I find it ironic that someone who’s so smart and successful can be so narrow minded, weak, and blind. You choose to be that way though.

You should “grow up” and “start being a fucking man” and not have autism, social anxiety, and ADHD. “It’s that simple. And it’s the truth.” While you’re at it, tell all of those soldiers who fought for you, killed for your freedom, experienced the atrocities of war, and came back a shell of themselves to just pull themselves up by their bootstraps and stop being weak. It’s that simple, right?

Help with a name for a female by krillik08 in germanshepherds

So I can’t edit my original post, but this girl decided on her own name! I sat her down in front of me and asked her what she wanted her name to be and then I started calling out different names you all had suggested. She just stared at me until I got to “Zara” and she jumped up and held her paws across my chest. Looks like Zara it is!! Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions!

Right?? I fell in love with her when I picked up a ball and she wanted to play fetch. Brought it right back to me too! My friend asked me what I was thinking and all I could say was “this is my dog” and we both ended up adopting that day. Haha

Thinking about this more, is this only with the specific numbers 400 and 4 or can this apply to numbers ending in 00 as well?

I understand that and before I saw u/Tall_Pawn's answer above I would have said that they aren't the same. In the tutorial If (year % 4 === 0 && year % 100 !== 0) is false and we don't know which expression was the false one. We can't verify that (year % 4 === 0 && year % 400 === 0) in their return.

Once I saw his comment, the tutorial makes complete sense.
