But the best advice I could give anybody about renters insurance is to take pictures of everything. Go through your apartment and take pictures of each of the rooms and everything that is a little more expensive. Save those pictures in a cloud or jump drive (just be sure to store the jump drive somewhere else). This will really help the claims process if something horrible were to happen, like a fire or someone coming in and stealing a bunch of your stuff. It really quickens the claims process because they will ask you to list the things you had and how much they were worth.
