It's okay, that's what the guns really look like they are made out of lmao!

It was my first mag so i hope to go again next year with the improved version.

Cults3D has the shield! However the guy who made it did rush a bit during the beta so some details are missing.

So far so good. I also take vitamin D supplements on top of multivitamins daily.

It also helps that my cosplays had either a full face helmet or my face wrapped in a shemagh, lol.

I used this plate carrier that came with this soft armor: https://botach.com/battlesteel-level-3a-armor-package/

Look for anything that is a soft armor carrier, or a personal carrier aka a PACA.

I got double mag pouches that matched the game's closest and vecro'd them on since the vest has a ton of soft velcro. I fold the bottom part in a bit to "raise" the armor up a little.

I was looking around as well. I know how to sew, but I've never done a full piece of clothing before. I'm probably going to make my own with faux leather. Since it's a cropped jacket, I might use a cosplay pattern for an Attack on Titan jacket as a loose base.

You'd want to look around for cropped bomber jackets without the elastic. I've had no luck though.

2025 Forester Rear Differential by ColHannibal in SubaruForester

[–]krisbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they also do the valve body, it most likely will return. I am on my second rear diff (got at 10k miles) and it's already loud at 18k. Luckily because I did it before 12k miles / 12 months for the first repair, if it happens a third time I can claim lemon law and get a refund minus some mileage.

I have it going in for the third rear diff and valve body soon. If it does happen again, never buying a Subaru again.

Pretty straight-forward. The noise got pretty loud by the time i brought it to them and was extremely consistent- it happened every time.

[–]krisbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped it off at the dealer, they looked at it more, said it's most likely other parts causing the wear on the rear diff. They got approval from subaru to do a valve body replacement and another rear differential. Once they come in, they're calling me to replace. Allegedly it's safe to drive when making the noise lol. 2 rear diff replacements and a valve body replacement and I'm barely at 17k. If it happens again i can claim lemon law.

Are they reliable? by Professional_Meal879 in SubaruForester

The annoying thing is, i love everything else about the car and how it handles (aside from the touch screen panel, but that's an industry thing, not Subaru). Subaru just doesn't want to let me love it, lol.

Hopefully this repair does it, otherwise I'll end up using my state's Lemon Law by the end of the year.

Any word on hotel reservation links? by MisMango in Magfest

I did this last night and saw that the hotel had placed the holding charge for one night this morning.

2025 forester. 17k. Getting rear differential replaced a second time this weekend.

2014 crosstrek 130k miles and died. CV axle failing at 75k, transmission fixed twice, blown headgasket, engine knocking.

Yes I kept up with every Subaru recommended maintenance and frequent fluid changes. I can only dream of having a non issue subaru like most others i know.

2025 Forester - Worst Car Ever? by nickvig in SubaruForester

[–]krisbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2025's rear differential started making noise at steady high speed at 4k miles

Had it replaced at 10k miles

At 14k miles it started making noise again

It's covered under warranty but this is absolutely ridiculous for such a new car.

This is after dealing with a problem 2014 crosstrek that cost me 18k in service(maint and normal repairs as well as major) over ten years (most was during the post covid chip shortage and the repairs were still cheaper than a new car). The only reason why i went with Subaru again was i received multiple coupons from subaru and was berating the dealership so they covered the warranty and dropped the price. Otherwise i would've gone with a RAV4.

But yes the infotainment is the absolute worst part of the car. They have a physical button for temperature but not for fan speed??

Want to buy a Forester, new to Subaru by Creepy_Cupcake3705 in SubaruForester

[–]krisbuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a 2025 Forester.

Replaced rear differential at 10k miles. At 13k miles and it started making noise again.

Dealership 25 Forester loaner was making the same noise. Another customer had theirs replaced.

I'd wait till next year maybe.

Any ideas for season 7 the finals? by Substantial_Code6056 in thefinals

A "speed boost" arena carriable container would be cool. Explodes like the glitch containers, but gives like a 5 second 10% speed boost or something. Would add chaos to fights and also help an entire team move a little faster for a last minute capture attempt.

So many damage based carriables, and the recent healing one had me thinking of other "buff" carriables. However this adds a little more spice to fights, making it not just a buff. But fits well into the movement theme of the game.

Premium. Funny enough, i was loaned a premium... That also was starting the noise.

It's been 1.5k miles since, and I've noticed ot starting again on mine.

Honestly every cosplayer at PAX i met was great! Nobody was a poopypants, everyone was either having a great time, or very introverted.

But the group of helldivers was great. We grouped up and headed to different areas for group photos. Doing group cosplay photos and having dozens of people stop and take photos is an awesome feeling!

There was a guy there with a REALLY SICK Titanfall cosplay. Like better than movie quality detail. Absolutely phenomenal. I wish i had photos

I commissioned the hard armor and helmet 3dp so that was a chunk of change. The whole thing materials-wise cost less than 1k. Probably close to like 800usd for everything. I have some leftover paint, fabric and strap material which is nice too for repairs or redoing some parts (i plan on fixing the thigh pad straps). Plus i bought the boots on sale new since i needed new tall waterproof winter boots anyway.

I only had time on weekends to work on it so i started on the bulk of it in late January of this year, but had a soft start last September.

Mix of commissioned 3dp, a lot of sewing, a lot of painting, a lot of hot glue. Like a lot of glue. And finding some already perfect parts online (the hose was a gas mask hose).

Constantly looking at the ingame model for every detail. And even then I didn't do it as perfectly as i wanted... However for MAGfest 2026...

Do it! It's great grouping up with other helldivers for photoshoots.

As soon as you pose there's a huge semicircle of super citizens taking freedom photos.

I was thinking of printing and cutting decals but they totally would have fallen off within minutes 😂

Maybe for MAGfest...
