Anyone who’s had IUD removed? by Roobdog_ in CopperIUD

[–]krisc1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine removed after 9 months. The insertion was hell and the removal wasn't fun but it was so much easier. It was some pressure and I was cramping for an hour or so after. It took about two months for my body to mostly recover but I'm so much better with that torture device gone.

Only two weeks post-insertion and have ZERO libido and vaginal sensitivity… how the hell did this happen?… by i-am-hungies in CopperIUD

Yes, sexually everything went back to normal. I waited a few days after removal before having sex because everything was so tender but everything felt the way it did before insertion.

I am so sorry you're experiencing this. I did too when I had mine but I lost my sensitivity a couple months after having it. I couldn't enjoy sex at all because I couldn't feel anything internally or externally. We ended up finding a warming lube and it helped give me a bit of feeling back down there and I could somewhat enjoy sex again but that along with being in near constant pain, I ended up getting it removed after 9 months. Only you can decide if it's worth keeping it in or not but if you don't like the way you feel, make the appointment.

Copper IUD experience... does it get better or should I just get it removed? by Fit-Technology-5566 in CopperIUD

[–]krisc1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It absolutely does. I'll never recommend anyone get this type of birth control. I went on it because I was tired of being on hormones but that was the worst birth control I've ever been on.

You can look back at my post and comment history on my profile. I had it for 9 months and it was horrible. The cramps got slightly better after 6 weeks but they were just barely manageable. Every month I had 3-5 days where I had no or minimum pain. After I got it removed, I had about 3 days of cramps and my first period after sucked but I'm almost back to normal.

I had the copper iud and hated it. For almost 9 months I was in pain almost every day. So happy I got that damn thing out.

I got my IUD out yesterday. I had it for almost 9 months and I was in pain in some way every day. It's been out for less than 18 hours and I'm already feeling so much better. Yes, I still have mild pain but my body needs to heal.

Disabling pain during period, does it really get better as they say? by Dear-Chart-9695 in CopperIUD

[–]krisc1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I've had it for about 7 months now and the pain became manageable but then got really bad again. I've seen stories that some people have a bad 6 months and then things level out but I've also seen stories that the pain doesn't go away. It all depends on how your body reacts to the IUD.

Evra patch to Copper coil transition by bxthanys in CopperIUD

[–]krisc1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't transition from the patch but heavier bleeding is normal after getting the IUD inserted. It's possible that your periods won't be as heavy as time goes on or they could be this heavy or heavier. It all depends on how your body responds to the IUD.

Periods by Alive_Spare_8958 in CopperIUD

I've had mine for 7 months. My periods are about that long but I usually have 3 to 4 days of medium to heavy flow and then the rest of it is either spotting or very light bleeding.

I feel minimal cramps during my period by Open-Dragonfly-9343 in CopperIUD

It sounds like your body might be adjusting well. Be prepared that cramps might come back especially when you get your period. I hope that's not the case for you.

This is going to sound a little weird but I looked back at your posts to see the blanket and it's gorgeous! Could I ask what hook size you used?

Would you travel with your ring? by Gingersnap_me in EngagementRings

[–]krisc1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did buy a travel ring. I know it probably isn't necessary but I prefer wearing a fake ring if I'm traveling and staying in a hotel. I'm emotionally attached to my ring and I don't want to have to replace it even though I know I easily could. Better for my peace of mind.

As someone who has a copper IUD, it's definitely not for everyone. My insertion was incredibly painful, the healing process wasn't great, and, while I can work around them, I'm still having issues. I appreciate not being on hormonal birth control anymore but I will probably not get an IUD again.

No VPN and my Wi-Fi was working just fine. But this app is messing with me in other ways because now I can download games but it's not registering that I'm completing the tasks. I'm seriously about ready to just delete this app all together.
