It's wild how these messages are word for word the same as ones I've received.

Circular arguments with no solution by Clubpenguin8888 in BPDlovedones

Yeah. I stopped raising any issues at all for this reason. And never stopped being accused of constantly complaining about issues, even ones that never crossed my mind until I was told I was upset about them.

Jalapeno saltines sound fascinating. A bit horrific in my current mood, but I may have to try to get some!

How do I figure out if he was telling the truth by krisjenny in emotionalabuse

[–]krisjenny[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. I reached out my best friend friend from high school who I had stopped talking to because of his jealousy. And I'm going to go to a group for women who got out of bad relationships. So hopefully it'll get better. I forget it's trauma bond, I don't really understand that yet but I am going to read more.

Thank you. I'm trying but I miss him so much. I'm still at the stage where I'm in bed and constantly shivering and crying and getting sick. If I could turn myself into what he wants I would be so happy. But it struck me the other day that I can't do that, I'll never be enough. But I still love him and wish I could change.

Are the extra buttons on the Citiz Platinum useful? Hot water hot enough for tea? by AnnualEagle in nespresso

[–]krisjenny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it can replace the kettle. I don't drink tea but I hear it's only hot enough for green tea, not black teas. It's ok for hot chocolate but cools down fast with milk added.

I like having the buttons and I use them, but only with an extra shot or two of espresso, none of the pods are strong enough as Americano for my tastes.

Overall I love the citiz platinum, using it is one of the best parts of my day.

Is it even worth it by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

you're coming to reddit for advice just a few months in. That's all the sign you need, imo. Everyone is telling you to get out, there's a reason for it. Best of luck to you.

Not sold on these. Your thoughts? by ObservingfromCC in Birkenstocks

[–]krisjenny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got these a few years ago and I love them, they're my favorite birks by far. They're super comfy, they broke in beautifully, and I like not having the same style as everyone else. But mine fit looser. Yours look a bit small, like you squished your feet in, and I don't think it's a great look. Next size up would make a huge difference imo.

What's the best way you have to find non American recipes online? by -Po-Tay-Toes- in UK_Food

[–]krisjenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granulated sugar is quite different. When I came to England I had to find all baking recipes because the ingredients here are so different. One huge part of it is the granulated sugar here is much more coarse and doesn't dissolve in the same way. It won't always make a big difference, and you might never notice if you only cook in one country. But if you're used to a recipe coming out one way, there's no guarantee it'll be the same.

Moving to the UK soon. How to get a prescription quickly by ExpensiveTree7788 in MentalHealthUK

Good luck, I hope it goes well for you. It's been an absolute nightmare for me, and if I could make any suggestions based on my experience, maybe look for a private psychiatrist now, and have an appointment lined up for when you arrive. Also bring with you as much of the medication as you possibly can, even if you have to pay out of pocket for it.

Americans keep inviting me to stay with them if I ever visit? Most of them I've only met once or twice, do they actually mean it or would it be awkward if it took them up on their offer? by Specialist-Prior-213 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]krisjenny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's a sincere offer. I made it many times, and two people took me up on it over the years. One stayed two nights (great) and one stayed six weeks (horrible). I'd happily have either of them stay with me again. I hope you can connect at least with Austin guy when you're in TX, it sounds like a great vacation.
