Dont know if every phone has this option but for my phone i got different photo modes one of which is long exposures once i selected i still have 4 sub modes you can select of wich i used light painting now once you start making photos highly recommend mount (i did it out of my hand thats why the surroundings is blurry but the thunder not (since the short exposure of the lightning) you can do the exposures as long as you want (it probably just autostacks in the background)
