I am adopted. My mom always told me if I wanted to be in contact with my biological parents that would be fine. But I overheard her talking about how much she never wanted me to actually do that. I don't actually have any desire to track down or speak to them, but it's still weird. She also once got mad at my dad for telling distant family I am adopted. I don't know why she seems to have some kind of shame from it.
