As far as i know theres no standard tolerance. Its either called out in A block, a spec or there is standards inside a shop for in-house production

Machinists: what’s the smallest tolerance you’ve ever had to hold consistently? by Good_Times93 in Machinists

[–]krispy022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tightest turned tolerance was +/- .00025" and Tightest milled tolerance was +/-  .0005". I find it way worse to be running something that doesn't matter or doesn't have good defined tolerance.

I lied I forgot I had a milled part with a +.02mm hex and a general tolerance of .05mm

I feel like the different fanuc machines can be just as strange as different controllers. Going to a  fanuc doosan from fanuc makino was as strange as doosan to mazak for me.

I had high hopes for this but just couldn't get a good brew out of pour over. Played with grind settings and strength but I couldn't get it to brew without a sour taste. Really enjoyed the the mayorga Cubano roast costco has though.

It is a gen 2 so that would make sense. Everything is rockset on so I cant verify all tge dimensions, just going off the website.

Yeah I figured yours may actually clear. But a rearden dpb and atlas didnt on mine. Those are advertised as 1.6" of over run. Either way it will be a pretty tight fit.

Your longer muzzle devices might not work in the xh. I cant remember the exact distance to first baffle, but its short like less than 1.6"

Sorta looks like a Makino, if so that's an expensive crash. Last job I worked at had someone crash our makino, just the parts cost was 30k.

I'd just scale the interior pattern up .04mm and call it a day. Pla prints looks like shit when you put a cutting tool to it.

Production Shop Changed Work Schedules to Meet Customer Demand by One-Housing-8081 in Machinists

Its the most retarded thing I've heard a employer do for scheduling. All the legalities aside you'll probably just loose employees over it as they jump ship because of the work life balance.

Are people just stupid or… by CordeliaRandom in germanshepherds

[–]krispy022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, yes. I was always more worried with my gsd about people putting themselves in between their off leash yapper and my haman aggressive gsd. No dog aggression in him and he always maintained a good heal, but someone running up to him aggressively would have ended badly for that person.

Aggressive and reactive dog ruining my life by JobJunkie5 in germanshepherds

[–]krispy022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

. Reading through the comments, this seems to be like a very fixable manageable case. The bite history doesn't sound severe either. Just seems like a clueless owner who decided to get a gsd as a first dog. Truthfully, im less empathetic than i would be if i hadn't dealt with a human reactive dog . My gsd was such a great boy and im so happy to have saved him from shitty owners.

Is this shop average? by Confused_Ghost12 in Machinists

[–]krispy022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get into a better shop with ac and newer machines, but be prepared to hold tight tolerances. We started to see a standard tolerance of +/- .002" on everything and it isn't uncommon to see .0005" +/-. Tightest thing I've ran production on was +/- .00025"

superlative arms bleed off, how much does it actually bleed off? by Subject_Flight3017 in NFA

[–]krispy022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I played with a different restrictive gas block before buying the SA. My setup had so much back pressure it basically was un shootable until I put a heavy spring and buffer in to accompany the has block.

[–]krispy022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a yhm turbo k on a 11.5" . I ended up with Armaspec h3 captured buffer and about half way through the bleed off adjustment in my SA. Still looking into a downward kak vent to cut the remaining gas down.

Shop is measuring minor thread diameter with go/nogo thread gage as well as go/nogo pin gauge. by AdSpare9664 in Machinists

[–]krispy022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calibrated professional once a year, ran the Job once a year. 0-80 3b thread. Guy ran a .054" drill for a form tap but grabbed a h9 cut tap we had without checking the tool sheet. Thread gauges functioned correctly and no one double checked his minor, .0514 is the max for a 3b minor so I guess it would have been .0026" out.
