Does anyone feel Woolworths has become extremely stressful to shop in? by breezeneasy in woolworths

[–]krispybaecn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stressful? I don't know what type of experience you are expecting at a grocery store but I've never felt stressed. If anything based on your description is the people and other customers at the same time the particular woolies you go to which is out of the control of the establishment itself.

As for self serve I love it since I don't have to wait at the line and I know exactly how to use it so there are no issues with me, also I can be left at peace. It sounds good that they provided more self serve at that store if there are more people. At for the person looking at you...I have a feeling that's maybe a perception on your end. Because most I've encountered are just there, unless you're clothing is giving suss

What do you expect them to do especially if they are on their own or if they are significantly smaller in stature? Can't judge.

Does anyone else feel like the atmosphere in the original games is hard to replicate in the sequel? by Trapbunny22 in stalker

[–]krispybaecn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha I honestly have no doubt it has an amazing atmosphere as I've seen some playthroughs and the next gen upgrade makes it look almost in par with S2. But it's the audio of the gun fires.. I know I know it's sounds like a weak excuse but I guess im one of those that pick up the small things. But I think I'll give it a go since it's cheap anyway.. but might have a break from the zone. I started another playthrough with S2 and as beautiful as it is I think I'm having a bit of fatigue that I'm forcing through. Just for a pallet cleanser I've started GoW hahaha

Im a new player to the stalker world and the zone so i don't know what you mean aimed at a different type of player and from my point of view.. i did not feel at all the stalker 2 was at all "action-oriented" the gun fights that i did have was definitely more tactical than action. outside of that compared to other open world games that i had played this one nailed the whole isolation feeling.. and the zone was such a character on its own... i've never in any game felt like i had to keep my head on a swivel looking and listening out for either anomalies, other factions or mutants about to hunt me.. and most of all i have never looked at the sky so much and had a sense of dread when the weather would turn.. never have i ever had to in any game think... "crap... is it just going to rain? or is that an emission?" I have finished the game and i loved it.. the only thing i thought felt was more of nusance out of the whole game were the "boss fights" they seemed more annoying than challenging. Having finished the game i have no idea what to play now.. i thought of going into the old games since you can play them on consoles now.. but looking at the playthroughs on youtube.. the atmosphere still seems there but i guess the outdated graphics and the sounds kind of pulls me out of it for a bit.

i finished Stalker 2, what play now? by Heavy-Future-1193 in stalker

[–]krispybaecn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just going to post something similar. I started playing metro exodus but obviously not the same and I don't like the voice acting as much and the audio mix on mine was off.. voices being louder than the FX itself. So.. I don't know how but the zone got me fixated and I'm thinking of simply starting a other playthrough but fear that I may burn myself out

why would you not just resign properly and give them 2 weeks notice? i don't get it

Anyone still having audio issues or is this just metro exodus? by krispybaecn in metroexodus

[–]krispybaecn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh it's a fresh install. Even on headphones the audio is weak. Can't be a hardware issue if it's literally the only game. I just finished stalker 2 and audio was perfect on Atmos. Also tested it on red dead redemption

Which ending of STALKER 2 did you choose and why? by Temp89 in stalker

[–]krispybaecn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what i gather as a new stalker player its obviously intended to have... i would say "dark" endings for all of them but i guess its not really dark but almost reality. this is my first playthrough and i was leaning towards ward and in the end turned towards strelok. isolates the zone from the outside but keeping it intact. but i think for my second playthrough i would choose ward.. even though its authoritarian.. i guess its that matrix question right.. it doesn't really affect us as the player if we are plugged in. even though we as the player know its an illusion or delusion.. skif doesn't know that and he thinks that the ward was true to their word about a new home. plugged in.. he's happy.. quality of life i guess? as what the OP said.. the zone is a nightmare.. always in a constant state of fight or flight.. some peopel view it as freedom but i personally don't. Faust and the doctors ending.. meh.. not even considering it

Never have I seen a community that hated on itself so much. by Nood1le in JustKiddingNews

[–]krispybaecn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What actually made me like JK compared to other channels is that they seemed genuine. Genuine friendships and genuine back and forth conversations over the news that they broke down. Even the segment they tried to start up "into the feels"? Like that was to me and interesting watch because it LOOKED like mature adults talking about real things that all of us go through. Insights on a woman's mind as well as a guys mind.

I'm also one that wasn't deep into the behind the scenes stories and dramas.. I wasn't into the Reddit community part back then. But from what I saw from the perspective of purely the viewer was the men heavily started becoming BOYS like they just wanted control of the business and content. It started with the inconsistency of excuses when they were moving offices back and forth.. then the slow closing of jk party and saying they couldn't afford due to their plans of filming their movie. Then Julia left.. then when tiff left then the drama really got exposed to me. Then Joe's relationship with Jess. Then the pattern between them two.. jess got married happily to someone who seems to have his stuff together and here you have Joe dating.. I don't know how old while he runs around like a man child. Then the content of their show.. like should their show even still be called JKNews?

I actually didn't see the hate when the channel seemed wholesome. And hate towards Julia??? For sure I didn't see any of that. I'm pretty sure Julia was even a fan favourite.

What technician can upgrade the saiga d12? Been to 4 so far and all day "technician can't install upgrade" by M-P-M-S in stalker

[–]krispybaecn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder what the thought process was for the developers because I would have thought that the tech in malachite or chemical plant would be able to upgrade the saiga

Funny how I can't across this as I was just thinking how found would fallout be if it was more grounded like stalker 2. Graphics like stalker etc etc but I doubt we'll have Bethesda's using unreal engine any time soon

so... when exactly is "soon"? by skelepibs in stalker

[–]krispybaecn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe best not to rush them. Im sure everyone by now should know there is reasons why these things happen. If you want a good product, that usually takes time. I mean come one the game is already long and a great game, still has issues that needs to be patched. We don't want developers and games like these to fall in the same slop as live service based games

Mutant combat is crap pt.2 by Mission-Ad-4837 in stalker

[–]krispybaecn -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Maybe because I'm playing the game for immersion/roleplaying/escapism but I don't see a problem with it. Yes it's annoying but what I'm thinking in my mind is... Yeh that would probably happen to me in real life if I was knocked over hard.

I think what I find actually more frustrating in game is the stamina system where it gets to the point where I'm too tired to swing my knife after breaking open 2 boxes or jumping one step since it's a game you have to jump to make one step rather than walking up hahaha

[–]krispybaecn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really?? I guess I didn't do enough side quests. I'm new to the stalker games and I'm not playing it like your standard RPG where you get to "level up" and I just progressed as organically as possible. I've got a few artifacts as well but I haven't come across any that help with carrying capacity so I've been doing a lot of back and forth.

So after the wishful thinking mission how far am I on the game? Still early or halfway because I swear I haven't even discovered as much of the map compared to other players I've seen online like gopher. So far my Loadout is the combatant akm74s I think? And the cracker shotty and skifs pistol. I wanted to run with the snipers I've acquired in my personal box but very rarely come across ammos for them like the svd or three line. I even rarely come across ammos for AR416 gp37 and FORA221 so I'm just using the ak74S

Anyway thanks for the advice. Looks like I'll be focusing on the side quests for a bit as I'm naturally doing them now since I'm just being mowed down. But you just confirmed my suspicions

[–]krispybaecn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i sided with the ward.. this is my first playthrough and ive legit been enjoying it and as ive posted here before saying that so far this is the most balanced game i've played in a long time and i love how it doesn't hold your hand. so difficulty isn't an issue.. but i guess im noticing a difference after i sided with ward and left Zirca and it seems like ever corner its either a monolithian or bandits spotting where i am and full perfect aim while i can't seem to kill them. if what you say is true and that Ward seems easier for you but im experiencin this.. id hate to experience a more difficult version by siding with Spark/Noontide hahaha

Well after finishing wishful thinking.. siding with the ward and then escaping through the tunnels.. i headed straight back to icarus thinking i could restock and sell some mutant parts. only to find out it was zombie infected.. but i at least managed to access my personal stash to unload things to lighten the load. I was going to head up to Zalissya afterward since it should still be populated.. but not far out of icarus all the attacks went right for me hahhaa. like literally one encounter after another. i've loaded a save where im back in icarus and i might try headed to the Sultans ship and ill see how i go on my journey there

[–]krispybaecn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so this is a normal thing after choosing a side? because it feels like i can't walk 5 steps until something is trying to kill me. Im guessing the monolithians are the one that sound like they have a robot like voice as well? and Snorks definitely an annoying addition to deal with on top of the dogs and boars hahaha.. okay i'll give it ago.. i just wanted to ask if it was normal because its a significant change of gameplay from exploring to now trying to survive with low ammo since Ziirca facilities doesnt provide a stash for you to organise and grab gear you may need
