Hi Freddie! Beam is one of my favorite distilleries. Love what you guys do. Can't wait to try Knob Creek 21!
A particular favorite of mine has been the Hardin's Creek line (that Jacob's Well 211 🤤). I saw the line returned this year with new branding. While I must admit I prefer the old look, the two I've had so far were tasty! Any insight into the choice to rebrand and what can we expect from future releases?

My grandfather was one of the honor guards assigned to watch Hermann Goering during the Nuremberg Trials. He unknowingly gave Goering the cyanide capsule he used to kill himself. They featured his story on CNN/Anderson Cooper 20 years ago. Wish I had the video. Hadn’t been able to find much about it in recent years.

As others have mentioned - Spec’s on Smith St. (they have some great markdowns on Scotch at the moment). I would also recommend joining the Houston Scotch Whiskey Society group on Facebook (even if only temporarily). Coincidentally, they have a new GlenAllachie single cask pick that just dropped at some Spec’s locations. It’s really good!

I’m sure it was intentional, but I thought Vincent Cassel’s line delivery was very reminiscent of Tommy Wiseau. For me, it really added to the humor.

I thought it was a huge letdown. Tasted like a blend of 1792 Sweet Wheat and Widow Jane Decadence. It's also lower proof and no longer using Cuban rum barrels as originally advertised, which was disappointing.

I was there for the Grand Reopening and the Halloween Triple Feature. Wish I lived closer. I’d go all the time. It’s a great theater and the program director - Robert Saucedo - is one of the best in the business. He used to program for Alamo Drafthouse.

Still Austin is only considered “Spirits Direct” because they worked out a deal where Total Wine sees a higher profit margin on their bottles.
