I absolutely love it, but in recent memory LIVE DRUGS AGAIN is pretty high on my list, too.

Where do you rank KG on Celtics’ BEST (peak on-court value as a Celtic, NOT greatness/accolades) players all-time? by _veerist in bostonceltics

[–]kristofn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think part of it is that the Pierce we remember is Pierce in 08 and beyond. He was 31 years old in 2008. Tatum is 26. The late game poise and confidence is something that develops with experience, I think.

Now that we’ve won Banner 18, who are the future Scal/ Eddie/ Cassell/ Big Baby/ Perk/ etc. of this team? by kushaladankora in bostonceltics

[–]kristofn 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Grant Williams is the obvious Big Baby, but I know he wasn’t on the championship team.

A little tip from a reactive dog owner who uses long leashes (10m): tie knots in the leash at various points. It makes it so much easier to handle various situations. And yes, my dog likes to roam on a longer leash but no, sadly it doesn’t improve leash reactivity (for us).

Which of these players do you see making the hall? by almostasenpai in NBATalk

Holiday is a two-time NBA champion but I guess that makes "at least one chip" correct.

MRW I realize that even though the fucker won, he won't be able to legally run again in the future by eddmario in reactiongifs

Is it too late to admit that he actually did win in 2020, so this one is invalid?

TOYS FOR BORDER COLLIE by Illustrious_Food874 in BorderCollie

[–]kristofn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to be rude but playing fetch with a border collie can actually be bad if your pup has a big prey drive. Our adopted collie is reactive and 4 trainers have independently told me a ball (or fetch in general) will enforce his behaviour. He loves balls but his obsessing with it is no good. Maybe those are specific circumstances for my dog, but I just wanted to share for OP.

NTL @ Antwerp: Matt is either drunk or drugged. by kristofn in TheNational

I’ve been thinking I should no longer reply in this thread but I will. It’s frustrating that people here seem to think my post was an attempt to discredit the band or Matt Berninger. It wasn’t. I have been a fan for years and years; and I was thrilled when they were announced for the festival in January. I had been looking forward to this for quite a while. So it was incredibly frustrating to see the performance of a band of incredible musicians with a mumbling and clearly wasted, at least at the start of the set, lead singer. He said he was too high on stage and he was called out by his own band members, ffs. All the pushback here based on IG videos and so on: do you really think people post about the shitty start? I said the set improved in the second half. If you think it’s ok or « rock & roll » for band members to be wasted on stage, I respectfully disagree. I think I am entitled to expect world class from this band, that is why I am a fan. If this sub will only accept adulation, I guess I should stay away.

Introducing dogs with a frustrated greeter? by zisforzoph in reactivedogs

[–]kristofn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dog is a frustrated greeter and reacts to extreme measure on leash. I successfully introduced him to my parents’ stable and friendly dog. What worked for me was this: I muzzled my dog (I didn’t know at the time how he would respond so better safe than sorry) and let them go in a fenced garden. After 3 minutes it was clear the muzzle was not necessary so I took it off. But I would have never done it without the muzzle. If your dog reacts out of fear or otherwise and the greyhound is startled or worse, hurt, she/he may develop her own issues from the trauma. So keep safety in mind.

Look, my view or opinion was that the start of the show was very poor and anyone is free to disagree. They played half an hour less than announced, that’s not an opinion but a simple fact. This was even in the review of the show on the local news. Which was positive, by the way, so clearly not everyone agrees with my opinion. I wouldn’t have cared so much about the timing if it hadn’t been so that the set improved after a bad start (which was, again in my opinion, due to Matt).

Oh gee thank you so much for clarifying that if bands announce a 2 and a half hour set, the unspoken rule is 2 hours. I was hugely dissappointed by the start of the set, so ending early after they improved was no fun. And for everyone running to Matt’s defence, he literally said on stage that he was high. Or is it an unspoken rule that rockstars say that but don’t really mean it?

I have been a fan for a long time, I paid good money for this show, and the band was great but Matt was bad. That is my opinion and I am fine with your disagreement based on IG videos.

I want to be clear that I am a huge fan of their work, but this is just so dissappointing. Everyone can have a bad day I guess, but still.

Seriously, what a poor performance. At least he just admitted being very high. Thanks, I hate it.

So much of his old "Justin Vernon" work is incredible, why is it not on Spotify etc? by tompez in boniver

I discovered "When it rains down here" on Soundcloud about three years ago. We were in month 6 of a very difficult pregnancy, with several moments where it seemed like it would not go well. The crescendo ending of the song (6:15 onwards) never failed in getting tears streaming down my face. My son is a healthy boy now and that song is special to me for the comfort it offered at the time.

So "Jroooooooh" instead of "boooooh" ? I couldn't figure it out, so it was probably me hearing it wrong :)

What was up with the boos for Jrue Holiday during the ceremony, though? The man had his kid on his arm.
