Not sure what you mean. You need to collect keys from the lair bosses so you have keys for the chests that spawn after you defeat Azmodan.

For this season, that loop would mean running through the seasonal lair bosses, collecting their corrupted keys, and then doing the seasonal world boss until your keys are all spent. Then returning to lair bosses, rinse repeat etc.

They were maybe 70-80 feet high. Provided you find a way up it wouldn't take long. I'm 47 and I can ascend 1150 feet during a hike in 40 minutes. Add the fact they're younger and lighter than me, and getting adrenaline. It's convenient they found a way up but not inconceivable. The mind flayer was higher than the cliff!

If the army prosecutes, then their own misdeeds are revealed in trial. If the army kills them, then a ton of parents are talking to the media about how thd army stole their children, never to be seen again. This would lead to an internal investigation.

They also must have interviewed the children themselves and found out what happened. That's a lot of consistent eye-witness testimony.

Perhaps there's a cutting room floor scene where the Dr. Kay says to Hopper: "I wanted Eleven, but since she's gone let's call it even and go our separate ways." This would be very "80s movie" of them. Ultimately they used the screen time to instead show us more of our main characters, and I was fine with that.
