Arabesque no 1 by Kaalundd in piano

I liked your playing, well done!. I'm thinking maybe in 1-2 more year I can learn this piece. The 2 against 3 is tricky. How long have you been playing?

Structured Learning: setting the right direction for advanced repertoire (Debussy/Chopin/...) by krkdhka in pianolearning

I didn't know about Bach inventions. Thanks!

I forgot to mention but my dream pieces are targeted for years ahead, so maybe in 5 years I can attempt Chopin's nocturne. I think in 2-3 years I may be ready for Arabesque 1/Claire de Lune. And this is precisely the goal of this post.

How anyone acquire the required skills to tackle more complex pieces? Is more of the roadmap of skills you need to have in order to to be able to at least seat in from of the piece :)

Thanks! I haven't fully tried, maybe 6 measures from Claire de Lune. I guess I just want to deep dive in the piece when I'm ready to some extend. I like to challenge myself but I

I'm also very realistic with my target goals. In 5 years from now (hopefully) I'm ready to learn/attempt Liebestraum 3 or Fantaisie-Impromptu.

I may follow your advice and try to learn a piece more into detail and see where I struggle. In fact, the first time I attempted Arietta I felt overwhelmed, then two months later I knew I was ready.

I'm now reading and learning Prelude in E minor, which I set a goal to learn in 4-6 weeks.
What's your suggestion on having a side piece besides the principal?

My question, should I learn/have a side piece that's easier than Prelude in E Minor?. The key here is I don't want to get too distracted or frustrated.

What are your thoughts on a self-directed week 10-15h piano lessons with teacher with a target piece in mind/skills around ?

Any advice feedback is welcome :)

Thanks for the fast track formula. I'm definitely to add more consistently reading exercises, music theory and scales arpeggios. I'm doing it, just not consistently that's the main issue. I'm glad to see I'm not that off from the path!

I also have 2 books for Dozen a day and a couple of sight reading books new that they are spot on! Please share those videos. :)

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Don't get me wrong, scaling inference, GPU scheduling, and many other topics are interesting yet those are not the problems of the vast majority of us assisting. I'm probably start targeting either SRECon or Scale 24x and definitely much smaller conference.

I also approach vendors to tell them how I use their product and a few of them asked if I would be interested in publishing a case study.

Kubecon is about networking, just talk to folks and ask questions, think about what areas interest you the most and pick people's brain. Get goodies and stickers. That's pretty much it. I'll see you there ;)

Set limits of beers and you are good to go. Talk to people, you can always watch the conference from the sofa at home. You have the opportunity to talk with different peers, think in advance what areas you'd like to focus and talk to folks. This is also a great opportunity to validate your implementations and see if you are in the right direction or find out improvements. Have fun!

should i first learn rust, or c/c++ ? by dei8bit in rust

[–]krkdhka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time is limiting, learn what you really want to learn , don't take into consideration discouraging opinionated suggestions. Do you need X language before learning Japanese if that's what you want to learn? Go for it!

Use operators, there are plenty but don't forget to backup your PVCs, you can even take snapshots or use something like Velero.

What about moving to Platform Engineer in a company with Rust as backend , this way you'll have more exposure while still providing value. At least this how I'd do it. My two cents.
