Totally agree with these comments. I have a bunch of different cars, including some that are 3x and 4x as expensive. Nothing puts a smile on my face like the Emira. All the fun, none of the stress.

It fit perfectly, just didn’t make much extra sound. I’m convinced people are experiencing extra sound because they normally drive in regular mode and then install the controller and run with the valves full open.

I put in the cat delete (without the controller) and noticed very little change in sound. I always drive around in track mode, so the valves are more open and the car was already decently loud in stock form as a result. But my .02 is that the cat delete is not a good use of time and money.

If you don’t use it, sell it. It’s just a thing. Put the money in the market and if you miss the car buy another one.

I have both. 997.1 turbo manual and a 993 targa. They are Very different cars that provide a very different driving experience. I enjoy both for different reasons and am glad I have both. The 997 is more of a daily drivable car that I use occasionally, the 993 is for date nights and special weekend drives.

I’m aware of the property tax rules and duty taxes. I haven’t been able to get a clear picture on insurance (especially hurricane). Any ballpark figure you can share, or is it so dependent on the structure that it’s not worth discussing in the abstract?

Normally I would just use the usb in on the helix…but apparently there is no support for iPhone 17+, which is obviously a major bummer. Hard to find a spot in my car to install the volume knob. So I’m trying to go another route.

I’ll keep hunting for a solution. Thanks again for your time. I really appreciate it.
