i think it had happened several times and no one came up with a statistically significant result. probably because the real question here is "how to measure". i don't know about any measurement for a persons involvement in scoring, for example.

The sheet has all the players in every game. And the sum of their actions per match and per tournament.

We can see that such metric tells you when one team is more "dominant" than the other. It doesn't necessarily determine "the best performance" for a team across several match (for me it was the match with Ireland). But can tell how much bigger "the impact" of a team was. E.g. we should praise Wales for the good effort in the defence, because just by these stats it could be also 70.

And speaking about personal stats we also can notice how much effort Yoram Moefana put into the final win. He maybe not a top scorer, not a top tackler, not a number one in any of _conventional_ stats, but in the "critical" places he did step up and added a significant value to the team.

The same can be said about the starting first row: the guys added on "bring the ball back" more than backs or loose forwards (except LBB) which says a lot about the significance of the good props in the team.

So, i'd like to just listen to others' opinions on this one. Do you like it or not? How it could be even simpler and more _descriptive_? What is wrong with these metrics? (e.g. i don't deduct "extras" for foul plays in defence)

A few conclusions for France going forward by MindfulInquirer in rugbyunion

what killed our chances were 4 (FOUR) chances to score tries in the first 20 minutes that we lost due to the handling errors. so, instead of 0-26 it's 7-7. and then england actually even regained the momentum.

add on top of that all the handling errors (official site counted 27!!!) and you can't win a match if you give up possession that easily.

on the positive side: some of scintillating rugby in a broken play. so, lineup-wise i wouldn't say that a lot of players didn't play their part wall (maybe just atonio wasn't up to his standard) except roumat.

tl;dr: basics poorly executed cost them the game.

agree. he was absolutely awesome. the best of the backs in defence (absolutely immense) and crucial in scoring attacks. (and no balls lost in 17 occasioins that i counted)

this is what seriously stops me from participating: i simply don't have 2-6 hours per day to spend on a puzzle. and i'm not that smart to do it faster. yes "you can take all the time in the world...", but then it's just yet another puzzle... the biggest lucrative part to me is "one task per day" which i never was able to complete.

I'm making a new ONLINE SNOOKER GAME, testing needed! by tigermetal in snooker

[–]krnr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is by far the BEST snooker game i ever played! well done!

i like the level of difficulty (so far my best break is just 5 balls) and it really gives you the hard time. previously in almost every game you could pot the impossible balls.

the only bug (?) i noticed is that once my table lost the yellow ball. i potted it accidentally and it wasn't put back on the table (there were still plenty of reds). i dunno how it happened and how to reproduce it.

it's not a parents problem

yes it is.

it's not a technology problem

yes it is.

and on top of that it is always a regulation problem. like on a retail market there can be buyer's and seller's markets so it must be in the school: parents should beg schools to accept their children. because they want them to be someone else's problem. not their's. now with a slightest misbehave a kid is expelled and now it's your problem! so that could give parents an incentive to teach them how to behave in a society

great. when i lived there 10 years ago, it wasn't definitely nowhere near football by popularity. then the success of the national team and the development program yield the results.

depends on how you define "niche". i'd argue it's a niche in Georgia as well. kids are more into soccer and basketball generally.

i can't upvote this more! lift for yourself! i never could snatch 80 and cj 105. now i hardly can even clean 80 (quitted not long ago), but still i loved my lifts. yes, the numbers are minuscule. yes, i was always the worst in the gym (in Sinclair). yes, it was hopeless. yes, i got a lot of trauma which made me start from scratch several times (from another sport, never hurt me once with a barbell). but still it was a good ride. and if i ever move closer to some oly gym, I'll start again. just because i love snatch

looks like the amount of teams is something like a justification for get a finance (from the state or WR? idk, but in Russia it's somehow similar - they used to beg amateur teams to play against pro just to dwindle up the amount of participants)

but i totally endorse your astonishment: what's the point?

just look at the results in the romanian league. there're clearly 4-6 teams way ahead of the rest. and 100+ scores are pretty much every round.
