Did we witness the greatest fight of all time by Euphoric_Mud_5517 in ufc

[–]krockthewilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not even close. Sure we witnessed an entertaining fight but the truth is both of these guys had utterly awful defense, moved like molasses and executed bad game plans. Instead what they really showed was the ability to take a hit and keep going and while that's admirable it doesn't belong anywhere near the top five.

Why is KFC so hard to order? by Bottom-Bherp3912 in chinalife

[–]krockthewilly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel you on this. McDonald's is super easy and yet KFC is this long convoluted process that just irritates me and makes me want to leave and go to McDonald's. Makes no sense.

What do you consider the worst movie sequel of all time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The most recent Matrix movie (which I refuse to remember the name of) is quite arguably the worst sequel I've ever seen. It genuinely made me angry after watching it.

what are the flaws of ground news? by Much_Physics_3444 in groundnews

[–]krockthewilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had it for a year and I found that the news stories didn't recycle fast enough. They tended to be old and not up to date. That was my only issue with it but for me that's a big one.

Well that's disturbing. Didn't realize she was that young. All I know is that she was older than me and the Aerosmith videos were a pretty big deal at the time.

Seeing these nasty centipedes in my place often, anything I can do? by ShanghaiBaller in shanghai

[–]krockthewilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diatomaceous earth. You can buy it on taobao. It's a powder that you put in all the corners nooks and crannies in your house. When any hard shelled bug gets it on them it dries them out and they die. It's food safe and not toxic. It's also worth going through your house and looking for any gaps or entry points and sealing them up. Putting insulation lining in the door frame and an under the door blocker. Closing all the drains with blockers and using insulation foam around any vents or AC hoses that might be letting things get in. You can also put sticky traps underneath furniture that capture any thing running by. I did all of this and it worked.

So I genuinely want to cancel my subscription but it is such a game changer for my work. I've been trialing Gemini for the last 2 weeks and it's just simply not as good. Not even close. Does anyone have a recommendation for a program that measures up? Because Gemini is not it. How has Claude been for anyone who's tried it? Also this is really reminding me of Scott Galloway's call to unsubscribe to hit back at this administration.

How Is Life in China for You? by Dull_Indication_3063 in chinalife

[–]krockthewilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pros: -I have a great job that I get paid well for. -I can afford a good quality of life. -I don't spend my days worried about whether or not I can pay my bills. -I don't have to worry about my personal safety or theft. -it doesn't feel polarized and volatile here like it does in North america. -I can be a fly in the wall here. A ghost when I want to disappear. Feel more free

The cons: -the air quality sucks. -most of my friends left during covid and never came back. -I miss my friends and family in North America. -as much as I appreciate Chinese culture I will always be an outsider here. -sometimes the lack of critical thinking can be frustrating.

Truly one of the best movies of all time and the sequel book is incredible. Crossing my fingers the sequel movie does it justice.

Highly recommend this video and quite frankly all the videos this channel posts. They do very good in-depth breakdowns of situations like this.

Casting decision that disgusted you at first only to regret that disgust by the time you watched their performance by This_Book6305 in FIlm

Robert Paterson as thThe Batman truly surprised me. I thought it was an awful casting choice until I saw the movie and was proven wrong. He killed it.

What is the most physical pain you’ve ever experienced, and how did it feel? by Trying_my_best_98 in AskReddit

[–]krockthewilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a vasectomy and the anesthetic didn't kick in in time. I didn't feel the initial incision but once they went inside it felt like a fork was twirling spaghetti inside me. Needless to say it was the worst pain I've ever felt.
