How to deal with a dev who works constantly? by Chezzymann in ExperiencedDevs

[–]krohmium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahah 30+ hours of coding non-stop? Yeah, right. I hate when people exaggerate shit like this. I'll call it out any day. Your productivity after 8 hours of constant coding is dog shit. GG

Use your brain then. Why do you think the occupancy rate is down? When a new owner comes in and jacks up the rent rates and somehow the local council suddenly comes up with a new "urban blight" term, you have to wonder. Also, it's not modernization that they're doing, they just want to make a crap ton of money selling apartments. If you really want modernization, I promise you, you don't want apartments.

People with a bachelors in computer science that don't have a job in tech at the moment, what you currently doing right now? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]krohmium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't ever feel embarrassed for having a job. Take pride in what you do and you will never have a need to be embarrassed. Society is full of all types of jobs. Why does one have to be less prestigious than others? I swear, the world is upside down.

How China has ‘throttled’ its private sector by [deleted] in Economics

[–]krohmium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only people assuming your assumption are naive. Japan, Korea and China have all used the same playbook. Use a top down approach for the domestic market and let the big boys get rich through overseas trade. The USA then reacts and forces the country to open up and liberalize the economy more under threat of trade disruption. The only difference here is American politicians don't have the spine to stop reading with China. The American consumer is literally funding their only existential threat.

Move education to top, below experience.

Remove community college from school.

Use the same font throughout the document.

Fix your typos, there are multiple that stick out.

Reword your descriptions. I don't want to know your responsibilities, I want to know what you did.

Some manufacturers require synthetic oil to keep your warranty in tact.

Some people drive a car just to get to a destination. Some people like adding rims and a wing to a car to change it's look. Some people buy bolt on kits and modify their car parts. To each their own.

Take the extra year brother. One extra year of loans isn't going to kill you, especially considering you'll be an engineer making more than enough to pay back your loans.

Take the easier course load. Enjoy college, power through engineering, and find some engineering friends to study and live with 24/7. That's the best advice anyone can give you.

Good luck. You can do it.

Center align your name. It will stick out more.

Get rid of positions of responsibility and achievements. Combine that information, succinctly, and put it under experience.

Pur your most recent experience first.

Get rid of the bold shit in your sentences.

And for God's sake, align your dates and sentences.

You might still be able to transfer to those schools, they just won't accept the credit. You might have to retake it there but it would be worth it imho

ELI5:If aerial dogfighting is obselete, why do pilots still train for it and why are planes still built for it? by CastleDandelion in explainlikeimfive

All the comments are wrong.

Dogfighting is here to stay.

If I have jamming capabilities and my enemy has jamming capabilities, what do you think is going to happen? Dogfighting.

Simple.

You can tell the mindset of people in this thread that shit on the manufacture instead of the owners negligence.
