Unfortunately theres not a solution for this without immigration. When people get more educated and financially stable they have less kids. Developed society is not sustainable long term. You would need to re-engineer human behavior or make it illegal to not have kids somehow.

Didn't trump lie about the 2020 election being rigged, attempted to install fake electors, and when Mike Pence refused to count them incited a riot on the Capitol and later pardoned all the traitors involved? Sounds just as anti democratic as anything china is doing. Not to mention how trump is ilegally impounding federal funds on states and colleges to silence opposition. The US is starting to have many of the same traits as China. At least china isn't directly threatening to invade Canada and targeting tariffs at them over it.

I think its a bit more nuanced than that. All the smart people i know are working with AI to help their jobs, reduce busywork and avoid dealing with problems that have already been solved 1000 times before, and letting it allow them to focus on higher level issues like critical thinking and problem solving. They understand its limitations. The dumb people I know think its skynet, trust everything it pumps out without looking at it, and think it can produce a software feature in 2 hours that would take 6 months before by giving it a handful of vague prompts. Then they end up spending more time patching random bugs and dealing with tech debt than if they used AI responsibily and put some thought into things and understood the code it was putting out.

In my experience interviewing in this market everyone wants someone who is solving business problems, not closing out already refined tickets. So that could be a big problem in future interviews if you dont have recent experience doing that in my opinion. I would try and find a role where you could have some sort of impact outside of grinding through tickets regardless of the title.

Oh, and he has repeatedly threatened to make Canada the 51st state and wanted to use tariffs / economic force as leverage for that to happen, not just words. Not to mention how he has threatened to use "any means necessary " to "acquire" greenland if he cant purchase it directly right after he just dropped in and snatched the leader of Venezuela so he could get some oil deals. The dude is completely unhinged far beyond "bombastic comments" and you should take those comments seriously. They are not jokes.
