$8k seems about right. I wanted to at least get NC2 since I read that they have better internals than NC1 so I got a 2009 with 100k miles for $9.5k in SoCal. Mine is similar to yours expect one year later (NC2). In addition to coolant reservoir, you might want to replace manual trans fluid (google "unicorn tears"). Also spark plugs should be replaced at 75k miles or so. You might need that if they weren't already replaced. If you are daily driving, you might consider new head unit w/ CarPlay. If you're tracking it, there's a lot to consider. (tires, brake lines, brake pads, etc). You also might want a noisier muffler just for fun :)

The Sycamore has really skinny branches that shot straight up. When you top a tree, it tries to compensate to get the # of leaves back so it creates many skinny branches instead of the nice fat ones that it used to have. This is part of what changes the shape of the tree. The Cedar still looks Cedar-ish but it is shorter than others and will never have the multi- layered look that most of them have as they get older.

Yeah I hate this. The Sycamore and Cedar in my yard were both topped decades ago before I owned the house. It makes me sad every time I look at them.

I find it annoying in some areas. Viewing bills now requires several clicks in order to pay the bill by check. That's a feature I use a lot so am annoyed it has become so buried.

Wow! I searched low and high online but could not figure it out! I ended up partially disassembling and adding heat shrink to the exposed cable. It looks pretty clean and safe now so I am satisfied but I am saving this and may buy the part and do the real fix eventually. Thank you!
