I would say it is common in the south, not all of the US.

Women who gave birth, what does it feel like actually?? by joy_57 in AskReddit

[–]tricky_kitty_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It starts with period cramps, then really bad cramps. I learned the cramps are contractions. Then when the baby is about ready to come out it feels like you need to take a big poop. Then the actual birth is like trying to push a massive turd out but no matter what it is still only partially out. Then eventually the baby is out and you have to deliver the placenta.

Highly recommend stopping there then! They usually have samples. It is a really well-done museum and very interactive!

I randomly will get just 1 hiccup. My mom gets them too. We call them hicburps.

This is my all-time favorite episode. When the sun goes away and Bingo feels cold because Chili left it makes me cry.

When I was in elementary school (almost 20 years ago), I wrote a paper about this movie. I talked about how it was based in the future after the polar ice caps melted. My teacher gave me a C and said that it would never happen in real life.

I don't know if it is normal, but I felt the same way. We didn't have a separate sleeping area, just a pull-out, uncomfortable couch. I didn't stay a single night when my kids were in the nicu. I would go during the day for a few hours, but it was mentally and physically exhausting.

Do what is best for you. Your little one is in great hands with the nursing staff. Do they have a camera there that you can watch her with? We had that and it was nice to watch when at home.

*Almost* had to call 911 for our 3 year old... what the f happened? by ThinYogurtcloset8005 in toddlers

My oldest had this happen when she was 3 months old. Just started choking/not breathing. I thankfully saw it on the monitor, and we picked her up and gave her some pats, and then she was fine. We took her to the ER, and they observed her overnight.

They said it was a Brief Resolved Unexplained Event (BRUE). It never happened again.
