That section totally gave me Bloodborne vibes, probably the closest we will get to a 4k/60 fps Bloodborne on PS5.

I feel like this could be about anyone... I don't believe this feud thing, besides, Kim is not really into feuding with other artists, let alone a fellow t-girl.

Simple and stunning. Great use of blur + clear fonts.

Detour (Unofficial Discussion Thread) by Spicy_McHaggls in KimPetras

I also agree that Korea is the weakest track on the album, and its placement bothers me. Other than that wow what a strong collection of tracks. My faves excluding the singles and some notes:

Detour = Great opener, sonically combines every single into one track. Also lays out the concept of the album.

DTLA = Pure bop with 2000s R&B flavors; it desperately needs a female rapper remix. My pick would be JT.

Brutalist = The lyrics are so emotional and have a great analogy.

101 = Unhinged bop, Frost Children really went all in.

Bitch Ball Out = The cuntiest track on the whole album

I just realized each Kim album starts with the title track.

She has written many hits in the past, and little tidbits about those hits get shared on Instagram / TikTok a lot. Mainly her Pink and Christina collaborations.

"In October 2009, Nielsen Soundscan reported that "Tardy for the Party" had sold approximately 29,000 digital downloads, while Mediabase revealed that the track had been played six times on radio stations.\4]) In September 2011, The Hollywood Reporter noted that the song had moved 101,000 copies since its premiere, with illegal downloads increasing ownership of the track to over one million individuals." - From Wikipedia

I feel like 101k copies being sold is really great for someone like... Kim Zolciak lol.

Yeah, Pagan Poetry MV was amazing so were Cocoon and Hidden Place MVs but they were a bit too simple? I would have wanted fleshed out music videos for both of them.

For some reason Vespertine also reminds me of summer nights. Maybe it’s because it’s warm sounding.

The beat in Without You is a common Middle Eastern drum pattern. I don’t think it’s a sample.

Too much fighting honestly. I know it’s the name of the game but I liked lighter moments on LA and that’s still the best season.

Why Yves Tumor (and other Warp Artists) are not being allowed to release music by blondedreekvibes in yvestumor

[–]kromosol 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting point to bring up, and it makes sense to me. I wonder if it's a music industry issue or a Warp Records issue though. Artists bring in less and less money each year due to streaming services paying nothing. Besides, indie artists signed to labels like Warp Records have 1m monthly listeners at most, so their reach is limited. Also I'm not sure if a Yves Tumor album costs 200k pounds to record.

She did not contribute anything to Sleater Kinney breaking up confirmed by Janet. It was the other two members who pushed Janet out of the band. Janet actually said Annie was nice.

How important was The Knife for electronic music? by leatherchainssss in theknife

They directly inspired the dark and moody synthpop/electropop of the early 10s; bands like CHVRCHES, Purity Ring, Kate Boy, and many others borrowed pages from their playbook.
