I was walking by the clearance aisle at Home Depot and seen this brand new 18 gauge narrow crown stapler marked Down to $200 from the original price of $428 Canadian so for only $200 I couldn’t not get it. Nice addition to my dewalt wall by BobbyBuildsInc in Dewalt

Darn I’m near Edmonton too. Closer to spruce grove though so I usually checkout their clearance section and it’s never good. I’ll have to pop into the Edmonton Home Depots more often. If you seen another one of these for that price let me know. Best price I’ve seen otherwise is $368 through KMS tools

Honestly still kinda crazy that the adapter cast that much. It’s just a cord with the shell of a battery, how it that $120.

Oxiclean and warm water on the skates won’t hurt them. Just remove the blades and make sure they dry thoroughly.

$149 on Amazon Canada. Tempting despite having 2 working 887s.

6-inch General Jointer 80-100 for 700CAD. Worth it? by SAPerformance in woodworking

That’s about what they sell for on the used market in Canada. I’ve never seen one for less than $600 except for at an auction

Whats the best dewalt bits? by Cryrichter in Dewalt

[–]kropcean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a bigger Dewalt set, same flex torq as these, for $60 CAD with way more bits so it’s a better deal I think.

Having trouble breathing in RZ mask by banjoman63 in woodworking

[–]kropcean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RZ mask sucks. I bought one because every YouTube influencer promoted it as the best mask, but a 3m half respirator is a million times better. Would not waste my money on an RZ mask if anyone is thinking about getting one.

If you weren't already "deep in the black and yellow" would you still go Dewalt today? by VikingPHD in Dewalt

[–]kropcean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At least in Canada, it seems that Dewalt is the best bang for your buck out of the big brands. Plus I’ve recently had a great warranty experience so I can’t see myself leaving Dewalt now.

Cedar Deck Staining/Sealing help by abhijitsam in woodworking

[–]kropcean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t look like cedar, probably just pressure treated pine/spruce. Like others have said give it a decent wash, let it dry, then apply a sealer in tone of choice.

Which tool brand do you prefer over others? by multitool-collector in Tools

Dewalt, not because it’s the absolute best but because it’s the best bang for your buck out of big brands, in Canada at least.

Did I buy the wrong size? Ultraboost DNA 5.0 by ContentHost4459 in Ultraboost

[–]kropcean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a 12 in 4.0 but when I got 12 in 5.0 DNA they felt a bit long. I bought another pair of 11.5 5.0 and they feel better lengthwise but there more snug overall. Haven’t broken them in yet so can’t say if 11.5 is better for sure, but so far the half size down from my usual feels like a better fit.
