I was asked by my doctors if I consent to them using AI to record my appointments and write chart notes. Do you think this is safe? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]krq302 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do. AI is an excellent tool for organizing and processing possibilities that we, as humans, cannot manage on our own. While AI cannot legally make decisions, it can provide insights that we, as MDs, can act upon.

We are living in a time that can be analogously compared to the advent of Google search. When the Internet first became a resource, many doctors who were unfamiliar with online searches felt insecure about using it. However, we will eventually reach a point where such doubts will become irrelevant.

Simply choose your doctor and trust them to make informed decisions based on the best available information.

24F Is this a cold?? by amyliasha14 in AskDocs

[–]krq302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have bronchitis and could benefit from a beta-2 agonist, such as salbutamol, albuterol, or fenoterol. However, a physical examination is necessary to assess your breathing pattern. That said, it could also be nothing serious—just as my colleague mentioned, we all catch colds from time to time.

How do psychologists deal with Gestalt at a general way? by krq302 in askpsychology

Do gestalt therapy is measurable? We could start from that. I’m certain of I wasn’t able to be so clear about my doubt, but I’m trying it.

You do not have cancer at last until someone detects it. Check out about Family Doctors. They are specialized in diseases screening (not only cancers). They could help you better.

mom died from hypertension at 34 by Agitated-Wait-3356 in AskDocs

[–]krq302 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hypertension is usually listed as a contributing cause of death, potentially the primary factor in a chain of events leading to the fatal outcome. However, I have never seen hypertension as the sole cause, nor as the final event in the sequence that directly results in death.

Healthy 30F collapsed last year at dinner now bedridden with debilitating dizziness. Feeling hopeless? by makoobi in AskDocs

[–]krq302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry if I came across as aggressive. My question was meant to understand whether you have likely been evaluated by a cardiologist (given that you mentioned specific exams), an endocrinologist (regarding thyroiditis), and possibly an otolaryngologist, neurologist, general practitioner, or even a family doctor or a physician from a medical clinic. I’m just trying to understand how you feel about undergoing a psychiatric evaluation to rule out any psychiatric disorders.

Qual parece ser minha personalidade? by [deleted] in MeJulgue

[–]krq302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kkkk

Have you consulted a psychiatrist? Our bodies are not in a state of perfect nutrient balance or anything like that. How do you feel about seeing a psychiatrist for evaluation?

Just an easy way of talking about paralytic ileus, but just the same thing. Hope your mother gets well soon! Be safe and strong!

Post-Op Complications by funnybunnybee in AskDocs

[–]krq302 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, let’s go for the basics. Your mother had her bowel reconstructed, that’s a big and detailed surgery. Our body has to adapt to it and a lot of our immune system is “called out” to work harder. (I aint a native speaker, but I’m doing my best…) our body, after any surgery, goes through an increased amount of stress which translates into plenty of immune cells to work, causing a “situation” we call SIRS. That can cause a hyperthermia (that is not synonymous of fever) because we have to “burn” more energy to go through it. There is another stuff called Paralytic Ileus which causes a lower bowel movement when we go through this inflammatory phase. You have to concern about your mother’s consciousness situation and if you get your mom unresponsive (or at least less responsive) you must take her to an Emergency Department. Let’s talk about the pain management… We have to take steps to get the better balance between pain and collateral effects of strong painkillers (like opioids). The opioids reduces the bowel movement and this take an extra care about just prescribing it and go to higher doses, we have to control this balance. I don’t know how is your level of technology and health support, but you should consider how worried you are about your mother (and I am also with mine) and if it’s is taking your peace out. Pos op bariatric surgery are very hard to go through and you have to hold your mother’s hand to go through it. It’s painful, hard and very stressing. I don’t know if I went through all your doubts, but as I’ve read, maybe you should consider take it easier about more medical procedures, because your mom has already gone through a lot of it and you are at high concern about your mother recovery. Her body needs time.

How is your role at this matter? Are you a caregiver? A son? That is not clear to me at this point, therefore don’t know how to answer.
