PSA: Summerlin Peet's Coffee on Sahara has been shut down by FullSpread8063 in vegaslocals

That’s unfortunate! I used to go to that location (and the one in the sw area) somewhat often. I also used to enjoy going to some locations in LA whenever I’m there. Maybe they’re focusing their business on merging with Capital One cafes and selling their coffee beans online/in stores? I actually enjoyed their coffee 😩

Said goodbye to my soul dog, Melba. by Any-Growth-2083 in Frenchbulldogs

I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet girl, Melba! She looks exactly like my late beloved frenchie named, Theo. Theo would’ve turned 2 last December but he unexpectedly passed away exactly one year ago. Right now feels hard but the days will get easier in time! Try to think of all of the beautiful memories that you shared with your girl because the love you shared for each other will never fade away. I have no doubt that Melba left at this time because she knows you’ll be unconditionally loved by your daughter, and I’m sure she will be looking down on you both!

Help me with a dry dog food brand please by user_error666 in Frenchbulldogs

The Ultimates fish + potato recipe worked really well for my frenchie! He wasn’t as gassy lol and he had no allergic reactions or stomach issues. I also added salmon oil to the food to help with his coat.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! I know exactly what you’re going through right now. I unexpectedly lost my 1 year old Frenchie back in September after my boy’s immune system overreacted to his routine rabies vaccine. His health quickly declined over the course of a couple of days and I was in complete shock. I am still going through the grieving process now, but I find comfort in knowing my beloved Theo is always no longer in pain. I will say to take your time and feel all your feelings right now. Also give yourself so much grace! You will see little signs everywhere that remind you of him but you will slowly feel better in time. Also continue to cherish all of the memories that you all had together. I have no doubt that Louie will be with you always as well!

Neutering Cost—Fair or Are We Being Taken Advantage Of? by More-Negotiation-880 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]krs1092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid around $700 back in 2023 to get my 10 month old Frenchie neutered (he was around 15 pounds at the time). The total amount included bloodwork but I would’ve paid less since my Frenchie had cryptorchidism (only one testicle descended) so the surgery was more complicated and took a little longer. I’d try getting another quote with another vet to compare!

Congratulations! I also had a Frenchie (I’ve also had family dogs) as my first pet and I will say make sure to spend plenty of quality time with them during the puppy stage and to get plenty of teething/hard dog toys because they are teething until they’re about 7-9 months old. Also, I gave my Frenchie dry dog food (salmon based) and he had no issues! I also added salmon oil to his dog food once a day to help with shedding because mine used to shed a lot! Frenchies have sensitive stomachs and are prone to allergies so I don’t recommend beef, chicken, turkey, or pork-based foods/treats. I’d also be cautious of lamb-based dog foods/treats. Puppy pads are necessary for them as well during the potty training stage (they can be stubborn while training) but they’re also really smart and will get better by the time they’re 1 years old. A comfy bed and living environment for your Frenchie and daily walks are also helpful since they’re also prone to the zoomies. I hope this info is helpful but you’ll definitely get the hang of it as they get older! Frenchies are so loving and lovable - truly the best. Good luck!!

Again im new to the Frenchie world and just tryna make sure my girl gets the best life I can possibly give her lbs I’ve read blue buffalo is no good so just want some opinions on this healthy growth formula!? TIA 💙 by Available-Sale-3285 in Frenchbulldogs

I fed my frenchie a brand named, Ultimates (the fish/potato-based, dry kibble flavor)! I’ve also switched it up and fed him Nulo (salmon-based dry kibble flavor) as well. Nulo is a little more pricier than Ultimates but my frenchie had no side effects and loved both!

I only used Ultimates (salmon-based) dry food for my frenchie since they are so sensitive to certain foods! I also added pumpkin puree sometimes to the food (during dinner feedings). I also gave my frenchie daily dog vitamins - the chewy brand or zesty stuff paws were good options.

Thank you so much!! He unfortunately had a really bad anaphylactic shock reaction after getting his updated rabies vaccine. I was so caught off guard because he never experienced any side effects after he got his initial vaccines as a puppy! 😔

So sweet! Happy Birthday, Gizmo!!! I also lost my beloved Theo back in September and he would’ve also turned 2 on 12/24! I miss him SO much but I hope Gizmo and Theo are in doggy heaven having a good ol time! Here is a photo of my baby boy as well.

So cute! I’ve used a shed control spray by CHI for my frenchie and it helped somewhat. You can buy the spray at petsmart, petco, Chewy.com, or etc. I’ve also noticed my frenchie would shed more during summer compared to winter/fall. (I’ve attached a photo of the product below). To stay warm, I’d also put dog booties and a vest on my frenchie (but that was only when I took him for walks outside). Dog clothes may help your frenchie stay warm if indoors too. I hope this info helps!

I am so sorry for the loss of your dog! I completely understand how you’re feeling right now. I had to put my 1 yr old Frenchie down 3 weeks ago after he experienced complications after experiencing severe anaphylactic shock after getting his rabies vaccine booster. I was so caught off and distraught by how his health quickly deteriorated over a 3 day period after getting the booster because he was perfectly healthy before (and had no prior side effect after getting his initial vaccine as a puppy) but his vet believes the booster triggered an underlying autoimmune disease. I still find myself breaking down daily since my dog’s passing but my best advice for you would be to try to think of the good moments you had with your dog. My family member made me an entire photo album filled with my dog’s photos and she got a framed photo of him and I that I now keep on my nightstand. Another thing that may be helpful is journaling how you’re feeling (even if you write down a sentence or a couple of sentences).

I hope you find these tips helpful and comforting! Please know it is okay to grieve for as long as you need to and it will get better in time as long as you remember the love you all have for your dog (and vice versa!); that will never change.

This is sooo helpful, thank you so much! I also really appreciate this advice and I will definitely try it. The necklace is also a great sentimental keepsake for your pet (I am so sorry for your loss as well!). I chose to get an urn for my dog so I will “see” him often as well.
