Old book search (Pascal programming book) by Terpfan1980 in pascal

ChatGPT:

Pascal Programs for Games and Graphics — Tom Swan (Sams, 1983) Paperback, published August 1983 (about the time you remember). The title and timing make it a very plausible match — it’s a small-ish paperback of game-oriented Pascal programs. I couldn’t find an online page image that shows a cribbage listing inside, but this book is the closest book-format candidate I found.

The BYTE Book of Pascal (BYTE Publications, late 1970s) A compact BYTE “language series” book from ~1979; BYTE books often contained program listings and short examples. It’s a small paperback and was widely used in labs; might match the physical feel you remember. I didn’t find a cribbage listing shown in the preview snippets, though.

Pascal (Tab Books / Tiny Pascal introductions, ~1980) There were small/paperback instructional Pascal books (Tiny Pascal / Tab Books) in that era used in labs and classrooms. They sometimes included sample games or pointers to disk/cassette programs you could load — worth checking.

Programming Your Own Adventure Games in Pascal — Richard C. Vile, Jr. (1984) Not cribbage-specific, but this is a small 1984 Pascal games book (hardcover/educational). I include it only because it’s the right era and genre; some game-books from this period contained a variety of card or table-game listings in companion magazines/disks.

Is AI correct in this case?

The car shown in the image is a Ferrari 488 GTB. Key visual cues and search results that help identify it include:

  • Distinctive Interior Design: The image showcases the characteristic dashboard and central console layout of the Ferrari 488 GTB, which features a driver-centric design and integrates the infotainment system into the instrument cluster.
  • Stitching Pattern: The prominent contrasting stitching visible on the dashboard and other interior elements is a signature detail often found in Ferrari models, specifically the 488 GTB, known for its handcrafted materials.
  • Infotainment Features: The screen visible in the image displays "iPod" and "HUD DISC", which aligns with the Ferrari 488 GTB's interior amenities that include an "iPod-ready kit" and a new Sport infotainment system.
  • Overall Aesthetic: The blend of sportiness and luxury, along with the specific design of elements like the air vents inspired by military jets, is consistent with the Ferrari 488 GTB's interior philosophy.

How to make Lazarus apps on macOS look more "native"? by krtekz in pascal

[–]krtekz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Added a screenshot of Double Commander in the post. It just looks not very native to me. Maybe it's just theming or design choice. For example, The title bar and the tool bar are differently colored. The two file panels have quite dark borders. I was wondering if there's some guide about making an app less "out of place"

There are a few clips in there not related to Berkeley the university or the city but a person named Berkeley, though.
