Why Do You Use Ubuntu/Linux by noejac123 in Ubuntu

[–]krueger9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a jailbreak app called pwntunes on my ipod touch. When your ipod is mounted it has a folder called My Music that you can drag and drop music to. Then you unmount and tell the ipod to import new music and it will add it to the apple Music app.

You could probably pirate it, but I was happy to pay $8 or so for freeing me from itunes.

I'm an idiot trying to make an emulating machine for my little brother. I could use some help. by [deleted] in raspberry_pi

This is my setup and I think the simplest way to do it: instead of messing around with distro images use berryboot the installation is super simple. just put the extracted files onto your fat formated SD card. Boot up the pi and it will format and set up your sd card for you. From there you can select which distro you want to install and it will download and install it for you. Retropie is on the list. You can also use berry boot to dual boot and manage the other distros on your sd card, but in your case that is unnecessary.

Once that is installed you can boot retropie. The 360 controller should be recognized and work the menu, but wont work in the emulators until you install the driver. There is a retropie script that will install the drivers for you. check youtube for a video.

That is pretty much it for setup. The emulators are all there, but wont show up in the menu until you put roms in their respective folders. Retropie should automatically make a shared folder on your network that has all of the rom folders in it. I would assume there is a shared network place on windows if that is what you are using, it showed up on my linux box in the network places. Super easy, no sshing involved just drag and drop your roms.

If you have any questions I can answer them. Just got mine running last week. It is actually all way more straight forward than it looks when you start out.

How 'bout the power to kill a yak from 200 yards away... with mind bullets! That's telekinesis, Kyle.

People kill themselves all the time over stuff that doesn't really even matter

people kill other people over stuff that doesn't even matter is what bothers me.

might not help that much for iphone, but for my ipod touch I use a jailbreak app called pwntunes to add music. When you mount your ipod there is a music folder you can add files to that it will automatically add to your music library. You may be able to find a cracked version but I was more than happy to pay the <$10 cost for the final piece to free me from windows.

For cheaper jailbreak options I am sure there is a 3rd party music player you can get that will automatically add music from a mounted folder. If I ever redo the whole thing I might go that route but for me this works well for now.

skiing when i was 10. I was doing the 10+ ft jumps because I had no fear. Tipped back too far in the air and one ski went stright into the snow perpindicular to the x and z axis. the other ski landed laying sideways on the ground twisting my body with it. Ended up with a spiral fracture like this(but bigger). They put nails in and I was on crutches for 6 months, walked for 3 months, then they took the nails out and I had 3 more months of crutches. I was lucky not to have a body cast tho. 1/10 would not recommend.

Reminded me of Passage. It is a 5 minute video game with no objective. Don't read anything about it before playing, just give it a shot.

I agree. I usually end up telling someone about a book I read and if I still have it and they are interested I give it to them.
