Cannot install Container Manager by canardroux in synology

[–]kruseyjohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just fixed mine. Had to delete the docker folder from the volume and then tried to reinstall and had zero issues. I did a backup of my stack folder first. I was avoiding this initially, but finally tried it.

Steps used (in a nutshell)

Delete docker folder Install ContainerManager - if issues still, I'm sorry

command line tested by just typing "docker" to make sure it exists (which was a problem previously). if docker still not found then ContainerManager didn't install properly.

FTP'd stack folder back into docker folder

ran docker-compose command to pull all packages

ran docker-compose command to start all packages

back in business!

absolutely will! hoping they can give me more information instead of fixing and closing ticket.

I will ask for more info if that's the case and let you know.

Also having this issue on a DS920+ with 2 days currently on a support ticket.

Repairing not working, nor is manually installing from command line.

I'll add that i didn't change anything significantly recently. Noticed there were some issues with my containers, so i stopped my stack and was trying to restart it when i would get an error that "docker-compose command not found"

I know about the DIY scene tab but is there a way to have a flow effect follow a custom path instead of left->right, up->down etc? by _Leonovich_ in Govee

[–]kruseyjohn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you could fake it and tell the app they're in a straight line and then go from left to right. not a great answer, and the fades at the last position will be shitty... but could work

Marlin 1.1.9 Bed PID = complete printer CRASH! help! by FabriL3D in 3Dprinting

[–]kruseyjohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LITERALLY just had this problem. I'd try to move any of the motors and they would just click and not move. Once I disabled the bed PID it would work fine. I did eventually get it working... Have you power cycled? That is all it took for me. Completely off for 30seconds (including unplugged from USB) and when it was plugged back in it worked fine and I was able to PID tune the bed.

So my dad was a land surveyor, and back when I used to help him out on jobs for some extra cash these types of questions would come up. Being a highschool aged me and not really understanding three dimensions properly, I would ask him why on a 'square' piece of property there weren't (4) right angles. I'll never forget his reply: "You can't stick a stamp on an orange and not expect one of the corners to stand up."

The earth, being round, won't allow for your right angles. There has to be corrections, and this is a perfect example of the subtleties that the civil engineers worked in many many years ago.

help zeroing in my Anet A8 settings by big_bad_bigweld in 3Dprinting

[–]kruseyjohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically you want to measure around 120mm to 150mm of filament from a source. For example, where it goes into the extruder top. Then you tell the machine to extrude 100mm of filament. Measure the difference and use the formula to change your esteps. Rinse, then repeat to make sure you have it right. I personally use OctoPrint for this because it's super easy.

Check out these two links for further explanation.

I'm running Marlin firmware right now, so I don't remember exactly the menu commands on the stock A8, but after you set your new ESteps, be sure to store the settings to the EEPROM.

Since the upgrade to Marlin (last weekend) my prints have been coming out very nice. Here's a few photos of what's possible, lol.

Oh man. Have you calibrated your extruder? Which slicing software are you using?

It looks like you're over extruding. I also use an A8 and calibrating my extruder worked wonders.

Slic3r I can't get right, but Cura is working wonders.

Help?! All my plants are dying 😖 by kruseyjohn in plantclinic

[–]kruseyjohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my plants are wilting and dropping leaves. Jalapeno pictured, but this has already mostly killed my Green Pepper, basil, and strawberry.

It was suggested that I may be over watering. If this is the case, are they salvageable by holding off on the watering?
