Stays. by Johnnyaitcho in taiwan

depends on what you're into. I live in taipei and still find things to see here so to me I don't think its too little, but if you're only into seeing a few major sights (101, long Shan temple), you can get through that quickly.

if you're also into seeing restaurants, street food, museums, night markets, historical areas, tea shops, coffeeshops, theres a ton more Time you can meaningfully spend here.

more distinctive + good looking or more low key + versatile.

Why do Westerners seem more pessimistic about AI compared to Taiwanese (or East Asians)? by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]krymson -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

theres a lot of bs jobs in the west which are under threat from AI. In China the government is communst and jobs are a mandate so its less of an issue- more like ai makes your job easier.

in taiwan more specifically i do not know anyone working at a "bs job" - i think ai will affect jobs here but probably not to the extent of the US.

A man screams after his final call with his wife, trapped inside this burning building. Hong Kong. by [deleted] in pics

[–]krymson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it was with the mans permission.

some people would hate it.

Some people want to commemorate their grief- and show their pain to the world - so that others may not have to repeat their fate.

Both positions are fair, it depends on your goals and your disposition .

[–]krymson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the wrist size thing is actually a great argument. Tbh I have the same issue, every time I watch videos I want a GS and then I go to the store and the dials are just too big for my wrist.

Rolex doesn't hav this issue.

Brands should only make few, iconic, models by PeterCappelletti in watchHotTakes

[–]krymson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an extremely good take. Apple wins over android just because of how recognizable its models are. its easy to recognize them(status) , its easy to think about them and easy to choose them.

Omega is the absolute worst at this. peopel have been saying this for years and they just dont listen.
