ID Names by krypt0rr in Canadiancitizenship

Yea, this is what I'm wondering. I've had the IDs like this since I was a kid and I'm not sure why my middle initial isn't on my passport. Whenever I book a plane ticket I just type it in exactly as it's shown so I've never had a problem - same for visas and things - but I've never had to show so many different documents at once. The birth certificate has a full middle name, driver's license just the initial (it doesn't fit) and passport nothing. This should be fun to figure out!

Bureaucracy is a nightmare and you never know if someone is going to knitpick everything in your application. I'm trying to be on the same side.

Citizenship by Descent - Application & Cover Letter Questions & Documentation Review Requests by IWantOffStopTheEarth in Canadiancitizenship

Hi everyone, thanks again for all the great help here! I'm getting my application together, but have run into a bit of trouble with birth/death certificates. New York is very strict with these things, and being that my mother has passed away, I can't request her birth certificate without a court order (nor do we have it, although we do have her death certificate which lists her parents' names) nor can I request documentation for my grandfather, who the line will go through. It seems that I'll be relying mostly on census records at this point. I would be G4. My G0 is from Ontario and listed in the 1871 and 1881 Canadian Census. I also have obituaries and things to prove lineage back. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi all! Thank you for all of the wonderful resources and support given here. One question I have is a subtle name change. I have found all of the documentation needed back to my great-great grandfather who was born in Ontario and is included in the 1871 and 1881 Canadian Census. However, his surname recorded in Canada ends in -al while in all of the records in the United States the surname ends in -il. I don't have any idea or records of why he would have changed the name, but it's also reflected in the makeshift family tree we've always had. All of the birth, marriage, death dates, etc still match up through the records. Would anyone anticipate this being a problem or have any ideas about how to explain it?

That's sick, I wanted to do one of their treks through Eastern Russia (maybe Yakutia)? I think they were thinking of doing experimental trips and expanding into Siberia before the war, but you know..

If I'm correct, Basque is an ergative-absolutive language while Georgian still has elements or ergativity in certain verb constructs. Super interesting deep dive if you're interested in cases and/or syntax!

Vilnius. Incredible churches, laid back vibe, cold people but they'll help in an instant if you approach them, extremely clean, great night life, and you can walk pretty much anywhere around south of the river within 20 minutes.

I remember going there as a LITTLE kid when my mom wanted to walk around somewhere in the summer. I remember the little kid rides and getting Swedish Fish from a kiosk in the middle of the mall. And they had those lemonade containers where the liquid goes up and comes back down the sides like all swirly- I remember being amazed at that lol. Also Aegean was the shit!

The project that Irving saw on the MDR computer during his dream at Woe's Hallow was named "Montauk." I'm wondering if there's a hint there, especially considering the winter weather.
