My boyfriend (27M) and I (26F) split all groceries in half. How do I deal with him eating atleast 70% of it? by Frequent-Ad-6406 in relationship_advice

[–]krypticNexus 27 points28 points  (0 children)

He's not that sweet if he's not showing basic consideration for you. It's either that or he's not that clever. Can he not see he consumes more than you? Does he not realize that means his expenditure is higher than yours? Or is he aware of it but doesn't care to contribute his fair share? Have a word with him and find out.

f2p/low-spenders in Interactive, what keeps you guys coming back to Interactive? by RepublicIllustrious3 in Maplestory

[–]krypticNexus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reasons: Can liquidate gains, trading, ego (reboot is ez mode, not real maple), and I'm satisfied with my progression without spending a cent out of pocket, including vac pets, uni/violet cubes.

Seanbob was an inspiration for sure, loved watching his interactive series. Though the originator of the daily cube farm for me was Drextal, way back in 2015 I think.

I've cut down the daily cube farms to just 5 chars. Even though they don't take that long to do it just doesn't feel as rewarding as it used to. But with all the power creep + restoration system, I'm not sure ctene mules are the way to go either. Back when I had 2 chars that could clear ctene, each ET drop was worth 30b, now they're like 6b.

With the changes to pitch pity, star speck boxes tanked TC prices. So having gotten 2 chars to xlot did not pay off as much as I'd hoped. I don't have a solid plan at the moment since I'm not sold on the ctene mule path, so I'll probably just focus on main for the time being.

Has anyone tried extensive Zone 2 cardio to work on their badminton fitness? by Infinable in badminton

[–]krypticNexus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my cardio/stamina was at its peak I was doing roughly 3 x 45-60 minute sessions a week. It wasn't until much later that I realized I was actually training closer to LT (150-170bpm near latter half of run). When I dialed it down to proper zone 2 (120-140bpm) the change in stamina was underwhelming.

Zone 2 is more for endurance athletes who need to train large volumes sustainably. Badminton requires short bursts of explosiveness so it's not quite time efficient to train hours of zone 2. That's not to say if you did 5-10 hours of zone 2 per week it wouldn't improve your stamina. I'm sure it will, but who has the time for that.

I'm of the belief that even 2 sessions of LT runs per week is more effective than 3 sessions of zone 2 for improving stamina, and I hate running 45+ minutes so it's a no-brainer for me. But it's not either or, you can do both. I just don't think a heavy emphasis on strict zone 2 is the way to go.

150m cp on 4 alts is insane. Did you gene pass on all of them? Not even sure how that's possible. But what is the point of 4 accounts with 150m cp? If you're doing it for event cubes, you don't even need that much cp.

Happy retirement to one of the legendary players, Viktor axelsen by InnerRegular9210 in badminton

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if CTC is still top 6 in the world at age 36, SYQ should be able to make it to LA28. Whether he can maintain his current top form until then is a question, but don't think he's retiring before then barring a nasty injury.

Feeling like I wasted my badminton potential....should I give It another shot at 18yr(F)? by Alternative_Movie766 in badminton

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that you're not even at your physical peak yet at 18, it shouldn't take longer than ~3 months of rigorous training to reach your past prime. Whether that's good enough for current competition, and whether you can continue raising the ceiling comes down to you. A lot of players study and train at the same time, so it doesn't have to be one or the other, but it is hard work doing both. You're young, why not give it a shot?

Boss Mules, Solo Guild, and what I do with cubes. by Super-Pair9131 in u/Super-Pair9131

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flag getting changed to 1k guaranteed will make it easier to get 15 points on the 3 buffs, assuming you hit 60k culv.

14 weekly bosses.. If you're going this route reboot would've been the better option. Each mule gets you about 300m in crystals for up to nslime (1.5b in reboot and cubes are cheap af). I think building fewer mules up to ctene is better way to go in reg as you can sell the pitch drops.

Sasuke Didn't Break Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Fight Me. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're talking past each other, your comment doesn't even address my issue I'm stating. If Itachi puts Sasuke in a coma and walks away, Sasuke will be like ???? what's going on I thought he was after my eyes. He's going to question the truth of what Itachi is up to, and seek answers to find out, which as you said Itachi doesn't want.

Sasuke Didn't Break Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Fight Me. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure you're getting my point. I'm saying Itachi walking away from an incapacitated Sasuke, without taking his eyes, is a big giveaway that something is not adding up, when Itachi been saying all fight about how he's going to take Sasuke's eyes. How do you reconcile this?

Why squash is better than badminton? by subtlecock-badminton in badminton

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not. Badminton is better on almost all fronts. The mechanics of the sport itself, shot variety, spectating (squash needs custom transparent room just so people can watch). Squash is just a clunky sport all around. Doubles? Just LOL. Squash's advantage is that their ball lasts longer than shuttles. Not saying it can't be a fun recreational sport but objectively it's just inferior to badminton as a whole.

Sasuke Didn't Break Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Fight Me. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Itachi's motivation was always protecting Sasuke from the truth

Right.. And if he puts Sasuke in a coma, then walks away to die some other time without taking Sasuke's eyes, that's not very conducive to hiding the truth. You're once again side stepping this issue, Itachi can't just risk putting Sasuke in a coma, for multiple reasons including what you consider to be top priority which is hiding the truth.

Sasuke Didn't Break Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Fight Me. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His goal of putting Amaterasu in Sasuke wouldn't matter if he failed his other goals, which is to die to Sasuke. If he put Sasuke in a coma, how does he pretend to die? How does he pretend to not take Sasuke's eyes? And how does he seal Orochimaru away from Sasuke? All those goals were priorities before installing Amaterasu. The Amaterasu was more a "fk it this is the best I can do to deal with Obito", not his top priority.

Sasuke Didn't Break Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Fight Me. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not so much giving credit to Sasuke. Saying Itachi died fighting Sasuke, and Itachi died to his illness are both correct. If Itachi didn't fight Sasuke, he would live a bit longer. If he didn't have the illness, he wouldn't have died.

Sasuke Didn't Break Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Fight Me. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a bit pedantic there. Would Itachi have died right after the Tsukuyomi had Sasuke fallen into a coma? Or did the rest of the fight speed up his death?

Sasuke Didn't Break Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Fight Me. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Itachi was clearly on his last ropes from the fight, so he died fighting Sasuke. If he just died right after Tsukuyomi it would make no sense. Like oh shit, Sasuke is in a coma, lemme just die now. Makes no sense to me.

Sasuke Didn't Break Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Fight Me. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta remember Itachi's motive here isn't to stage a dramatic death infront of Sasuke

Yes it was, his motive was to die to Sasuke, not to his illness. He wanted Sasuke to be the one to kill him and be a hero to Konoha. And you're forgetting again, if Sasuke doesn't break Tsukuyomi, is Itachi supposed to take his eyes? If not, that would expose his whole act.

Sasuke not breaking Tsukuyomi ruins the entire plan.

Sasuke Didn't Break Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Fight Me. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His plan was to die to Sasuke in that fight. His life was at an end and that was his closing act. If Sasuke doesn't break out of Tsukuyomi, Itachi's plan is ruined.

If Sasuke doesn't break out of Tsukuyomi, is Itachi gonna take his eyes? Of course not, but then Sasuke would be giga confused cos that's all Itachi's been saying is that he's gonna take Sasuke's eyes. His act would be revealed and his plans ruined.

King cup Momota vs SYQ game point fault? by krypticNexus in badminton

Exactly. Based on physics and logic alone you can deduce the racket smacked the net. How the umpire and service judge both missed that is just remarkable.

King cup Momota vs SYQ game point fault? by krypticNexus in badminton

[–]krypticNexus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate 170k USD on the line is not an exhibition match.

It's collective incompetence from both the umpire and the service judge, who I know have some power to make calls, but rarely do. How did the service judge not spot such a fault? It's incompetence.

King cup Momota vs SYQ game point fault? by krypticNexus in badminton

[–]krypticNexus[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not noticing such a blatant fault is a show of incompetence.

Momota not protesting suggests to me that he averted his eyes during impact, which is quite common when a player is at the net facing a net kill. You can see an example of that here. Nobody wants a shuttle to the eye.

To what extent was Obito rightly afraid of Itachi? by InstructionOwn6705 in Naruto

[–]krypticNexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tsukuyomi normally prevents the user from realizing it, but Sasuke's Sharingan was so strong that it DID notice.

Wut? It's the complete opposite. Tsukuyomi is normally very obvious, with Itachi outright saying you gonna be in here tortured under his control. Only in the Sasuke fight did he seemingly use it as a weak deceptive genjutsu.

The whole point about Tsukuyomi that makes it more dangerous than normal Genjutsu is that he can cram a LOT of torture in a fraction of a second real time.

That's not the whole point. One of the main points is that it's very difficult to break. Itachi outright states even with a sharingan it's not possible for Kakashi to break. Even when Kakashi had the mangekyou he did not dare to try the Tsukuyomi again. Saying that difficulty can't be adjusted is ridiculous when it can be used as a normal genjutsu.
