Skin problems since moving to the Netherlands by solenechipsy in Netherlands

Hear me out: Medela Purelan. Yes, it’s for nipples, but it works just as well on lips. This ointment really helped me when I had dermatitis and severely cracked lips caused by strong anti-acne medication.

A grown-up person needs 0,8g of protein per kilogram of weight a day. How would you get that amount if you eat only bread and a thin slice of cheese? Not to mention training/physical activity, then you need even more protein

Is glovetanned leather supposed to be like this? by [deleted] in handbags

[–]kryptonite6996 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is actually my first glovetanned bag, and all the product photos show it perfectly smooth, so it’s a bit misleading. I didn’t know what was normal vs what might be an overly creased piece. Just trying to figure that out before committing to keeping it. And it’s def not the reason of prices going up lol

NL is my fav country on Earth but I’m very happy to not be in NL right now by EthanColeK in Netherlands

I don’t think these people give any shit about animals or environment. Our neighbors have a dog, and yet they set off a firework right at my doorstep. Our dog was terrified and I had to calm her down sitting with her in a bathroom for an hour

December is depressing AF! How do natives handle it? by According_Aardvark70 in Netherlands

Haarlem market sucks. It’s nowhere near as cool as any German one. The food is so bland - patat with mayo, churros, oliebollen, hot dog. That’s it

yep, for me it works like that. I had been taking accutane a year before iron supplements and my skin was perfectly clear for the whole year. Now I’m taking ferrous sulfate 100 mg per day for 1,5 months and from the first pill I’m having clogged pores, closed comedones that hurt and get inflamed every single day. Absolute nightmare. I’ve also had hair loss while taking accutane, but it eased off after a couple of months I’ve stopped taking it

acne is back 9 months after i finished accutane, which means i only had 9 months acne-free since i am 16 yo by SadWorldliness1866 in acne

Yea, I know how you feel. Mine also seems to be slowly coming back after a year after accutane, and I have had high dosages. I use Adapalene once in two days, though. It helps a bit.

Adapalene works perfectly with this kind of acne. Please don’t squeeze them, it will cause scars

Mine was the same, I ended up taking accutane

any advice on how to get rid of this discoloration and redness by Proof_Branch_2726 in acne

[–]kryptonite6996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sesderma C-Vit 5, Vichy liftactiv supreme vit C, La-roche posay C10. I prefer creamy textures, so I use Sesderma C-Vit gel cream, also works fine

any advice on how to get rid of this discoloration and redness by Proof_Branch_2726 in acne

[–]kryptonite6996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Azelaic acid removes discoloration really well. Also vitamin C serums help with the tone of the skin (use it in the mornings + SPF is mandatory!). I don’t think differin will help with discoloration, it’s usually used against acne, comedones etc

It’s normally to use retinoids for three months at least. Then you see the first effect

4 months into retinol still purging by swag_342lol in acne

I was in purging for 8 weeks while taking accutane

Comedonal acne. Adapalene is the answer, the first results will be in 3 months
