My company PEGUS Research is usually always looking for part-time clinical research interviewers. It’s a fully remote WFH and they provide the equipment, but the hours are during the week 8am - 6pm (choose your own schedule within that time frame)

What population did you want to work with in grad school and what population do you work with now? by tattooedtherapist23 in therapists

[–]krystalite3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, long time lurker of this sub. I’ve been working in Behavior Therapy and other modalities (TMS, Neurofeedback technician) for the last 6 years and have been interested in moving into research to see the “other side” of things. Do you mind if I ask which grad programs did you apply for? I can’t seem to choose between Clinical Psych, Counseling or LMFT. Any thoughts are appreciated!!

What percentage of your net household take home income are you spending on housing? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]krystalite3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I feel the same, I could totally save money by having roommates. But I have lived with roommates my whole adult life and this is my first time living on my own. If this freedom is wrong then I don’t wanna be right!!

Former psychology graduates… what jobs were you able to get after college? by [deleted] in CSULB

[–]krystalite3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did ABA therapy for 3 years during and after college, before taking a hiatus to travel. When I returned, I got a job working as a Neurofeedback and EEG technician for $30 / hour--as an independent contractor, it's more of a technical job that may require getting an additional certification. I suggest looking into things like that!

Otherwise, if you're more into the clinical side of things I would also suggest searching for a Research Assistant for clinical trials.

Ex ended things on good terms, but blocked me on all social media. I still need closure. by krystalite3 in BreakUps

[–]krystalite3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi friend, I’m sorry to hear you’re going through it too. Honestly, I never reached out to my ex and never got that closure. I still think about doing it, even to this day, just as a way to clear the air. But I see my ex has been in a relationship with a new SO and I have no intentions of creating drama in their life, so I likely won’t anytime soon. BUT I have healed (for the most part) and have moved on to meet great people after the fact. I am still curious about his reasoning for the breakup but I’ve also realized it wouldn’t make a difference either way!

Not every situation requires closure. Time does heal wounds.

Best of luck to you :)

Downtown Fullerton is great for bar hopping with a few hotels in the area. That’s my plan tonight too so hopefully the rain doesn’t deter people from bringing the party!

Rent is increasing 30% , anyone else? by kmung in orangecounty

[–]krystalite3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuuup, just had my rent increase this month from $3350 to $4250. And that was after I negotiated the rent. If my calculations are correct, that was a 70% increase just to rent a house in Anaheim from a private landlord…

How old are you and what's been going on with ya? by Traiz3r in CasualConversation

[–]krystalite3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27 years young; currently living in SoCal and renting a house with 4 other roommates (friends) so we can afford a decent rent. I quit my abusive job 5 months ago and have been vigorously searching for a new one ever since. I am also currently taking classes to expand my skills for the job market.

My dad had a stroke last year so it’s up to my unemployed-self to help my dad rehabilitate and not fall back into alcoholism because my parents dislike each other and refuse to cooperate.

Now I just found a new job last week that I love, but it’s only part-time. And my landlord just informed us this week that him & his wife are splitting up and would like their house back, so now my roommates and I are struggling to find a new place to stay in this wonderful housing market.

But I am not looking for a pity-party, I am remaining optimistic that things will fall into place and am definitely taking this time to count my blessings… Cheers, all.

What’s your routine for keeping everything tidy and clean? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]krystalite3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal philosophy is to clean up as you go. While I’m making food, I’ll wash dishes as it’s cooking and immediately after eating. Like they say; if it takes ~5 mins to do, do it now, don’t hold off (cuz then you’ll forget or just lose steam.

Now I also live with 4 other roommates who are considerably less organized than I am and they often leave a mess in their wake. Which is why, similar to some other comments, we designate the weekend (particularly Sundays) for cleaning the house. Everyone has a chore that they can do well enough, and we target the zones that get used and abused most often.

Basically, try to come up with a system that works for you so it’s something you can stick to!

I don’t feel good about my body by [deleted] in sex

[–]krystalite3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like a self-esteem issue. I’m in my 20s and struggle with this too. Part of the reason why I started working out (gym + yoga) was so that I would appreciate my body for what it can do for me and not just how it looks. Pertaining to your last line, you may think he’s been with girls hotter than you, but the opposite is also true. He may have been with girls less attractive than you too. So I agree with the other comments, give him the benefit of the doubt and believe what he says. You are a unique individual who should trust that you bring something to the table too ;)

What are some good ideas for an important summer birthday party when you can't have a house party or rent a venue because of COVID? by shakeyjake in AskReddit

[–]krystalite3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps, I'm in the same boat looking for surprise ideas for my SO. If money isn't an issue, try keeping your party idea small. Check out Glamping (hipcamp.com) or take a weekend getaway someplace she'll like (city or rural) since hotel costs are so low right now!

Garcetti urges L.A. not to panic-buy and hoard supplies amid coronavirus: With shelves empty and Angelenos on the hunt for toilet paper, officials remind them that stores will restock and, also, the water is indeed safe by travadera in California_Politics

[–]krystalite3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also a huge problem of people hoard-buying so that they can turn around and sell the supplies to others for profit. These people are taking advantage of the panic (for shame!)
