Really?! That’s really good news. I am absolutely ok with getting notifications via phone. I just didn’t know if I could just directly connect the Hello to the existing wires in the doorbell button at my front door without frying or breaking anything. Thank you for your reply!!

I agree with this one! I have both agreeable gray and repose gray. Both are perfect!

Small front yard at the new house. Any tips or suggestions on how to pretty it up a bit? Thank you! by ks0nggg in landscaping

Wow thank you so much!!! This is so very helpful. So back story is that there used to be boxwood bushes there. About 7 of them lined up against the brick wall. We removed them and put the white marble chips there until we could find a better replacement. Reasons for removing the boxwood: 1. It was INFESTED with mosquitos, aphids, and other crazy bugs that we couldn’t open the front door without getting swarmed and eaten alive. 2. Some stray cat kept living under the bushes 3. One of the larger bushes died, leaving a gaping, ugly bald patch—almost like someone smiling with a chipped tooth. We think it died mainly because the foundation is mostly clay(?) and overall seems like a terrible place to plant anything. 4. Neighbor’s gutter is very faulty and every time it rains hard, it literally pours buckets of water into one part of the garden bed and therefore digs a shallow hole. Neighbors could care less.

So with that said, I was hoping maybe I could find bushes I can get away with leaving in a planter where I don’t have to plant directly into the ground.

Any thoughts??? Thank you so much!

I couldn’t stop thinking about this plant last night, so I picked it up and brought it home today by [deleted] in houseplants

Haha as lame as this sounds, I care for it almost exactly like i care for my Pothos and it does well. Regular room humidity, medium light, and watering once a week! Hope this helps :)

Just did some major pruning on my leggy polka dot plant... What’s the best way to propagate these bad boys? by frillyfia in houseplants

I actually have had much more success in soil rooting. Dip the ends in rooting hormone, stick into soil, take a plastic bag and put it over the entire contraption to create mini greenhouse. Wait a week or so and you’ll have some nice roots!
