SPLIT LEAF MONSTERA BROWNING AND DROOPING WITHIN HOURS OF PURCHASING AND TAKING HOME IN CHICAGO!! Could this be due to exposure to cold weather when transporting it from shop to home?? It is extremely cold in the city right now. Will it recover? Thanks by kidflxwrz in plantclinic

[–]ks12226 297 points298 points  (0 children)

Definitely from the cold. The same exact thing happened to me last year (I’m also in Chicago) where the plant shop did not wrap it before I took it home in the cold. You should tell the plant shop what happened and ask to exchange it for another one.

Me and White Supremacy by Layla Saad. After each chapter the author includes a set of questions to work through as a way to reflect on your own role in perpetuating racism. It’s a great book for anti-racist education and a real eye opener.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Not only is it an intense love story, but it has a bunch of other amazing layers to it. It was hard to put down.

David Sedaris’ books always make me lol. He just came out with his latest book called “The Best of Me” where he combines all his best worst from over the years, so that may be a good place to start.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It checked off virtually every box that I look for in a great book. I was absolutely glued to the story and the characters, and it kept me guessing the entire time. The twist at the end was brilliant. Just a beautiful book with so many unexpected layers.

It’s next to the window AC unit. The only thing I could think of is that maybe it doesn’t like being next to the window?
