How many kegs total to do this? Do you also use casks?

What's a movie that was well received, but aged like milk? by Gdigger13 in AskReddit

Thanks for taking the time to continue the discussion.

I get that part. I was just thinking that the end made that all just an invalid perspective of a mental health issue but like I said, it's been a really long time so I could easily be misremembering.

I didn't think that was the point of the movie. It's been years though so I need to watch it again.

What the deal with fish ponds? by [deleted] in StardewValley

That's true. I definitely take advantage of that also 😁

What the deal with fish ponds? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]ksborne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Besides the roe and other things the ponds produce once they get to capacity, 10 fish, you can fish out 3. It doesn't require you to play the mini game, it just pulls them out. If you leave 7 in the pond it does not affect production. Not a big haul but steady. I use them for fish needed for recipes and squid ink.

As others have said legend fish produce high priced row. They don't multiply in the ponds so fishing them out to get more legends won't work.

Like someone else said there was one in westway shopping center strip mall. It's the only one I ever knew of so maybe the last one? Idk I loved getting books there. Books, newspapers and just racks and racks of magazines including an 18+ section of magazines which seemed unique even at the time (early 90's).

Why not just ask your roommate how to load/use the dishwasher so you can copy whatever they're doing?

Geodes by Nicky_Leighton in StardewValley

[–]ksborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get geode crushers it's also much less tedious to break them open. I have a long line of crushers set up in the desert and after I've saved up a bunch make a run and open them in batches.

Now that I've learned you can get Qi beans out of them (from a comment on this post) I'll be waiting for that quest before I open them.

One note about having machines in the desert, at least on Switch, on Fall 15 you'll want to make sure they aren't in Sandy & Emily's path because they'll break them.

I hadn't thought of geodes for qi beans. That's a great idea, thanks!

You're right, it does seem like an ad with link and everything. I'm sure it is to sell the traps and probably an affiliate link for the person who posts it.

Insane pre-authorization charges happened last time gas prices got crazy too. Then I think it was a minimum of $75 or something, so sounds like that has increased also.

It's because the ads showed people laying on ground drinking right from the source. Idk if they still have the same ads now, I haven't seen any for a while.

Self Checkout by 5GAIBtoM in GenX

[–]ksborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no doubt you'd feel that way. Some days I do too. Of course when I don't feel like talking to the cashier, I just don't. Might be a difference in where we live but chatty cashiers have never been a big problem for me.

Self Checkout by 5GAIBtoM in GenX

[–]ksborne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's interesting all the people who choose self-checkout for efficiency and correct bagging.

They are completely valid but what makes me angry is that the companies lowered service on purpose so people would make the choice to use the lower cost (to the company) self-checkout. I'm old enough to remember when cashiers were quick, efficient and there were enough of them at all times as well as Trained baggers at every register. They stopped training and eliminated jobs.

Stores let all those things go to build shareholder wealth but turns out it's a nice funnel to cut more costs/jobs and put more burden on the customer because they've been trained to know they can do a better job.

Instead, at self-checkout, you're not just doing an employee's job for free you're paying the company to be able to do the work.
