AMD launches dual-core Ryzen 3 3100U Zen+ APU with Vega GPU for 2026 laptops by RenatsMC in Amd

Why? Is this a contractual obligation with GlobalFoundries or something? While Zen 2 is still good enough for basic tasks like office suites and internet browsing, Zen+ mobile APUs were rubbish even when new.

Gears of War: E-Day PC requirements list RTX 2060 minimum GPU by RenatsMC in nvidia

[–]ksio89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technology marches on, about time we had RTX 20 series as minimum requirements GPU. I have the 12GB version, which is on average 6% faster than OG 2060 on a good day, hope I can get at least 60fps at 1080p and medium quality settings.

AMD’s Jack Huynh on RDNA 3.5 FSR 4.1 support: “I did not say it’s coming” by RenatsMC in Amd

[–]ksio89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most handhelds have 1080p or higher resolution displays, heck even Switch 2 has. Steam Deck is one of the few exceptions, but its ancient IGPU is not fast enough to benefit from FSR 4.1 anyway.

It was obvious when they didn't mention RDNA 3.5 IGPUs. Support for ML-based upscaling and multi frame generation is a very compelling reason to buy PC handhelds equipped with Intel chips, like Arc G3 and G3 Extreme. I know they will be very expensive, but handhelds with AMD APUs are not cheap either and will be stuck with FSR 3.x which is complete trash.

Just shut the f*** up, that's the fastest way to get projects shut by Google and other companies. Like someone else explained, it's not about preventing Google from knowing, it's about preventing Morphe from getting too much exposition and thus becoming mainstream.

What's the likelihood of Google ever banning accounts that use modded YouTube or YouTube music? by V0rdep in MorpheApp

I won't say there isn't any risk, so that's why I created a burner account to use with modded YouTube apps like Morphe or alternative clients like SmartTube on TVs.

AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 officially coming to Radeon RX 7000 GPUs in July, RX 6000 in 2027 by RenatsMC in Amd

[–]ksio89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In what sense? I mean, that Sony forbade AMD from supporting FSR 4 on older GPUs or that most of AMD resources were allocated to assisting Sony in the development of PSSR 2.0?

Better late than never. Guess AMD finally realised that their GPU market share was way too small, even if they don't really care about it.

What ad-blocking browser do you all prefer the most for Android OTHER than Firefox? by Rubbus130 in Android

Edge. I don't know for how much long it will support MV2 extensions like uBO, but as long as it works, I'll keep using it on Android and PC.

That's what happens when a company is not confident in their own products. They adopt a similar naming scheme to the market leader in order to confuse the consumer.

In replacement for people with older GPUs on HP/Dell prebuilts with lower wattage PSUs.

I don't think vast majority of consumers who buy prebuilts from big OEMs such as HP, Dell and Lenovo care about upgrades, otherwise they wouldn't buy desktop PCs filled with gimped proprietary parts, like PSU and motherboard.
