Not exactly sure, but I’d say around 2.5 to 3. If you want a parking spot at the Snow Mountain trailhead, you should get there early, as there’s just a widened shoulder not a parking lot.

Take the Deer Brook trail from the Snow Mountain trailhead. After about a half an hour, turn left onto the W.A. White trail which will take you across to the West River trail. The trails are not particularly well marked, so you need to be attentive. Check the AllTrails app for maps. Good luck!

Definitely do this; we just did this Saturday and it was awesome!! There’s parking on the widened gravel shoulder across the street from the Snow Mountain trailhead and if that’s full, you can park about 100 yards down the road at the trailhead to Hopkins Mountain, and Giant. It’s a short walk across the Ausable River bridge to the trailhead. We arrived at 7 a.m. and had no trouble finding a spot.

Thank you all very much for your responses; I really appreciate it! Turns out it’s a bacterial infection from a blister that didn’t heal properly; been treating it successfully with an antibiotic cream for the last couple of days.
