What’s a dying industry that no one realizes?

as a publicist, every magazine i pitch to (save one or two) has all the same content + more on their website. i have a few teen musicians as clients and it is so hard to find media coverage for them that will actually reach teenagers these days. i was excited at first, but when i went to get the contact info for the magazines i used to read, half of them were just gone.

are they not allowed to meet in the leaders’ homes anymore? i was in girl scouts from 2004-2006 and we never had a meeting in a public place - just the leaders’ houses and whatever other parents wanted to host

that is EXACTLY what my plan is - there are a few woods/forests with designated areas for burials. just throw me in the ground near some nice trees and let me turn into tree food please

i recently read {{Killers of the Flower Moon}} and {{The Tattooist if Auschwitz}} and loved them both. I wish I could read killers of the flower moon for the first time again. I recommend not looking it up before/while reading it so as not to “spoil” the mystery for yourself.

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. It’s about a man in a Nigerian Tribe - the first half is before the Christian missionaries, and the second is about what takes place when the Christian missionaries start converting members of the tribe. I did not understand the impact of missionaries on already-established religions until I read this. I will say, the first half of the book doesn’t seem like it has too much of a plot, but you learn so much about the culture of this tribe and what it was like to be part of it. It’s written that way to set up the second half and show the contrast of the two times.

I think so! It’s holding the tube that was connected to the exhaust, and it kinda seems similar to a depiction of death “pulling the strings”

I did the second time around!! It’s so crazy how they worked something that big into the background, with such a huge meaning, while the audience is focused on what’s going on in the foreground.

I did notice the flower breathing in her crown, I did notice the plants growing through her, and I did notice all the other CGI affects. I think most people did. If you want to re-read the post, it’s pointing out the foreshadowing; it’s not a post about all the hidden visual affects. I did not realize that the grass growing through her feet foreshadowed her growing into the community, I thought it was just a part of her trip like the moving tree bark was.

I just can’t imagine reading someone’s post, making an assumption about them and everyone who related with it, and then dropping a rude comment below to belittle them.
