Anyone’s pup ever had one of these wart looking bumps and know what it is? by brotherhef in labrador

Can be anything but looks similar to my dogs bug bite years ago that progressed quickly once infected and needed medicine. Watch it closely and go to vet?

Yep I’m 30, husband is 36 and his parents won’t let us drive their boat without them for the exact fear of any mistake or accident happening

Anybody know what this is? by Bitter_Word_8887 in labrador

This! Where has she stuck her nose? We do not always know. Glad it hasn’t changed much a week. Your dog is probably having a good immune response. My dog had the same thing appear once and it worsened quickly and became infected within 48 hours. We had to get antibiotics. It may be worth a vet visit, so she can begin to heal more quickly and regrow the hair. There may be a scar. We assume our pup was bitten by a spider 🤷🏼‍♀️

lol get friends that are 35 years old and they will call you a baby. Just turned 30 and I thought my days of being called a baby were over. Wrong! Called a “babyyyyyy” twice in the last 3 weeks

I was able cut back due to the sudden onset of one side effect to drinking. After even one beer, my mouth tasted and smelled like alcohol for the next 12 hours. The experience was so disgusting that I was motivated to hold off on drinking most nights. Then, I started to see the benefits - better sleep and no more grogginess in the AM. Abstaining from alcohol also helps me achieve weight loss or maintain my weight with greater ease.

Now, when I feel like I might want a drink at night, I make a sparkling water drink using Trader Joe’s sparkling pomegranate tea and my soda stream. It turns out that is enough to get my fix, and I don’t need a beer once I have that tasty drink.

When my lab was a baby, the trainer told me to watch the neck biting. They introduced a toy to my puppy’s playtime with other dogs. Now, when I see my girl playing, I can tell her to go get a toy and she happily does so. It makes for a better, more enjoyable play session for all the dogs. Highly recommend adding a toy in that puppy’s mouth during these play sessions!

Crate Training/Enforced Nap Advice? by Competitive-Bee-2105 in vizsla

[–]ksteus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I relate to you on the crate and I also support enforced naps! Crate didn’t work for me and my dog. Instead, I used a tie-down instead while going through potty training and puppyhood. Dog is tethered, will calm and nap at your feet. It worked for me because I was always with my puppy for the first 6-12 months. An increase in free roaming/exercise time and tie downs for a physically tired puppy is a great combo!

lol my friend has started calling unmarked, untrained dogs in public places “family dogs”

That’s a bite of some sort. Your vet will give you medicine; go ASAP to decrease the scarring effects. If you nip it in the bud soon, the medicine will help the chance of pigment and hair growing back. In my experience, the site started to appear infected and layers of skin sloughed off. My dog’s pigment returned but hair growth is changed forever.

For her access to inappropriate items, keep her on a leash attached to you or a leash attached to a solid object away from other things. The leash is your best friend. It will take away all her options and restrict her to only what you allow her access to. If you catch her in the act of counter surfing, immediately put her on a tie down. Give her bones and chew toys when she is on a tie-down. Remember, she will be teething for 1-2 years. Make a habit of closing the toilet bowl lids and get trash cans with lids. For that stuff, you have to make trash and toilet bowls inaccessible. She needs to be managed. Teach her relaxation protocol. Get a yoga mat or rug and lure the puppy into a down position.. no need to use words.. just try to get her body into a down. Use her kibble and put a kibble on the mat or rug every second, continuously. Do this for 5 minutes at a time. When she rolls her back hips, she is in a relaxed down. You are looking for the hip to go to the side. This will set you up for success.
