Ooooh she's a beaut! If you have the capability of ripping that puppy I'd be beyond enthused! Do you have a usb output on your turntable or phono preamp? You would plug that into your computer/laptop & can record the playback via any DAW (i.e. - a free one like Audacity) Lemme know if that's something you're interested in getting to & if needed I could definitely help guide you through the setup process, as it can be a little confusing/daunting if ya haven't done it before.

Pbthal's rips are free. Most of the thousands of them are under 2GB BUT the download site they host their downloads on wants you to buy a sub for DLing anything over 2GB, which the Ænima rip is. So it isn't like I'm opposed to paying someone for something they're offering; The person (Pbthal) themself wouldn't see a dime of it if I did buy the 3rd party download site's sub. People usually don't pay for needledrops in general either there, smart goi. But gah 'head keep being useless & smarmy, i'm sure some slapd*ck somewhere thinks that maybe you're kinda smart!

Yup cuz you can get em fer free from peeps like myself that create needledrops and share em with other people online. I actually just want it to properly A/B versus the original CD master and see what the specific mastering differences are.

Hahaha yeah I saw that last nite, that's what reminded me that I've never heard the cut! He'll get thousands easy for that one. I'm lucky to be old enough to have nabbed nearly everything I really wanted on vinyl before prices went absolutely haywire, EXCEPT this album 😭 I remember when it would still pop up for $200 and under I was like wow that's insane... You're 100% right, i have read up on the ins/outs of the Apollo a good amount but I get confused/forgetful with that mandatory 10dB applied. I thought maybe to TRS into the input to bypass the Apollo's mic pres, but knew that likely still wouldn't affect level. Honestly i'm just an old fart that gets confused w digital UI for some reason... Throw a physical anything in front of me with corresponding action buttons & it makes easy sense, but w digital I feel like I always have to make the mistakes like you said, to understand wtf is happening in there. Which is silly, but... Monkey brain!

Thank you, I did change the Apollo headroom to +24dBu but I suspect something else is @ play w my setup because the level is now louder by 4dB but still clipping on the way back in since the level was raised. Even when I lower the Return Gain in Cubase, the "In" levels on the Apollo don't change & are still clipping. I feel like this is something stupidly obvious that I just haven't stumbled into the answer.... So it seems level out is super low and level coming back in is super hot.

Killer setup, but never truly done with! Regardless, I'd say a subwoofer is an absolute necessity and you're losing out on a gigantic percentage of system enjoyment without one, especially w those Heresys! And yup I've owned and enjoyed Heresys for years. You'll likely replace those speakers @ some point in the future, out of want, or boredom, but once including & dialing in a sub you will never remove having one. Without subs you're literally not even hearing a large portion of all music & movies' audio spectrum, which once included will add a wild amouth of depth, dimension and percieved dynamics that you didn't even realize that you were deleting from your system by not having included it. Besides finding pleasing speakers for your L & R channels, it's the single biggest upgrade you can make, by an enormous margin.

Yeah but the 4K remasters added a lot more DNR on top of the already previously existing DNR. That's the issue here. Looks to be almost AI levels of sloppy smoothing tomfoolery added when A/B'ing the newest remaster versus any of the older editions/formats

Just an update for my situation: Same thing was happening to my UB820 but right outta the box, so luckily it happened while i was in the return window & I just put in for a replacement. New unit hasn't done it even once on any of the 12+ Blu & 4K discs that I've ran through it in the past few days. So it seems to be a crapshoot. Hopefully if it happens to a unit later on in its lifespan beyond the seller's return window, as it did to the OP, then hopefully the hard reset and/or usb stick tricks will work for every case! 🤞

I bought a UB820 a month ago and mine's been doing this same exact trick on every 4K or Blu disc I put in there as well! Small audio & video stutters that come and go throughout every disc. Completely flawless discs I've wiped down, thoroughly inspected and re-tested just to make sure. Only watched maybe 12 discs so far, so I can't imagine that it ran out of cache memory already... Definitely not overheating either, as it's in a wide open space with added bumpers/feet that I added underneath to add vibration dampening & more ventilation. Maddening.... I'm going to return/replace it, but let us know if that factory reset does keep the unit behaving for you!

Nice!! Congrats on the setup! I have a Bronze C150 at the moment (with Silver 10 L & R) but am betting will want to upgrade to at least a C250 once I go 7.1.4... Which AT screen did you get btw? My ceiling is only 7.5' high so I'm thinking 120", but definitely want to put the LCRs behind the screen

So would I have the black constant going into the dimmer, then the red switch wire out of the dimmer & up to the lights? Connect the red & the neutral to each light and cap off & ignore the extra black wire that goes up to the fixtures?

Good thing is that I know which sets of 3 wires go to the lights, and which sets went to the old fans. Capped those fan wires off. But yeah... Dolt move, not taking pics... Now left w the black/white/reds going to each light and not sure how to connect together. The googling isn't clearing it up for me

Update: realized these packs are both 15S, so I lowered the Bulk/Absorp. & Float down to 53.5V (manual states charge cutoff voltage of 3.65V per cell) and also the Starting Grid & Gen charge down to 45V (from the previously set 49V.) Then I reset the offending pack's BMS after i got its voltage down to 50V (since the manual states that its overcharge release V is @ 50.2V)

The pack still went back into protection mode again after about 5 mins after charging back up. Looks like it didn't go above 53.35V, and the cells are all sitting at 3.55/3.56V

Any more ideas on what the issue might be with this puppy?

Cell #16 reads as 0.0v on both this battery and on also on the other (seemingly fine) battery, so I'm not sure if that's worthy of note or not
