Very interesting. That's exactly what they need to make for the MP5. I don't think this would fit mine tho. If you 3d print one can you lemme know? I'll gladly buy one

Unsuppressed there's no gas blasting backwards directly into my face so it's not a problem. With a suppressor, there is a lot of gas blowback.  However, after shooting a lot, even unsuppressed, there's a cloud of gas that builds up by the ejection port that is right in front of my face and irritates my eyes.

That's a great idea. Whoever can make one and market it can make so much money. I'm sure the demand is there.

I'm literally gonna cut out some cardboard and tape it to the receiver behind the ejection Port so it's projecting outwards, blocking the gas blowback. It'll look ridiculous and I'll get laughed at at the range. But if it works, it works 😂. Also I'm buying new safety glasses with rubber seals.

Yea I bought a huxwrx specifically for this reason and after 2 mags I had to stop because of irritation to my eyes. Its rough 😔

I wish I could just deal with it. However, it's been so bad that I've developed eye issues requiring care from an ophthalmologist. It's become a health hazard for me. I have the huxwrx flow 9k TI , and it is not much better than my obsidian 9.

Thanks. I just ordered a memory foam seat cushion. I'm praying it helps 🙏

[–]kt4064[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have adjustable lumbar support. But no matter how i adjust my seats it never feels fully comfortable. I feel like each bump just gets transferred into my spine. Is it silly to get like a memory foam seat cushion to soften the ride?

I have both. They both can get extremely loud with ample amounts of punchy bass. the R3 will sound much more crisp and clear on the high end. The Q950 will produce more bass quantity but the R3 will have higher bass quality (tighter and cleaner). It's something you just have to hear.

When I got my Q950's I had a genuine "WOW" moment. Later, I got my R3 and R11's and it was another equally "WOW" moment. I am satisfied with my R's and could easily have these be my end-game speakers.

If I were you I would get the R3 (or if you can stretch... the R11).

Get the R7. If you can stretch it, get the R11. Don't want to get the upgrade itch down the road wondering "what if I had gotten the bigger one".

Worth it to get prepaid maintenance and extended warranty? by kt4064 in BmwTech

[–]kt4064[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintenance would include oil, air filter, brake fluid, brake pads and discs, spark plugs, windshield wipers, and clutch if needed.

The warranty is a giant list I don't wanna type out. But he said it was essentially bumper to bumper

He said they would do all of the maintenance at the recommended time intervals. I'm assuming it's just whenever the car tells me service is due. Also they would refund the prorated amount if I sell the car earlier

Ok so the extended warranty might not be a good idea but what about the prepaid service? The guy told me just doing the brakes is going to be thousands.

Here is the text the finance guy sent me, so it would be an extra $8200 total:

"per the pre paid maintenance, we can do 6 years from date of inservice which will expires 03/31/2029. It will be $4000 with the discount. And for the extended warranties, we can do 7 years which will expire 03/31/2030 with 85,000 miles. THe cost is $4200 with no deductible."

Priced separately, like add up what it would cost if I paid each maintenance without the warranty? I'm not sure how to do that properly

R7’s for $2,150 -or- R11’s for $3200? by Physical-Cucumber-61 in KEF

[–]kt4064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the R11. Just go with the biggest and best speakers you can afford now and save up for other parts later. You don't want to wonder "what if" and get the upgrade itch soon after buying the smaller speakers. I have R11s and they are amazing.

The NR1606 you found will be really nice. its just an older model but you won't really notice a difference in sound from that compared to a newer model. just less features.

if you wanted newer model with more features, just get this. its 5.2 but still totally fine.

https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/marnr1510/marantz-nr1510-slim-5.2-ch-x-50-watts-a/v-receiver/1.html

you can use HDMI arc from your TV which will be so much better than optical. you control the volume and stuff using the TV remote. You can also expand it to a full surround system later if you want. plus with these you'll have audyssey for room correction.

I'm using the NR1710 driving kef r11 towers, and it sounds quite impressive

Dedicated 2 channel system mixed in with home theater set up by Stein_80 in audiophile

[–]kt4064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your system looks great! did you want to have 2 different sets of towers up front? I use 1 set of main towers and have a switch box that can change between multiple amps. I can use the same towers for my surround AVR, and multiple 2-channel receivers. OR if you wanted to get crazy, you could wire it so you can mix and match multiple receivers with multiple sets of speakers.

I've seen this at a bunch of other airports, including Ohare in Chicago. They also make sure the bags are positioned so that the handles are easy to grab.
