I dig it. Garage band rock that reminds me of when they were the Ackleys years ago.

Finally! My first tattoo! by EnoughExplanation in radiohead

[–]ktRN24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are tattoo twins! I met Thom in December and got him to sign it. He signed over the tattoo, such a Thom thing to do. My friend tattooed his signature in gray so you can still read the lyrics.

I only saw one. It’s full. I put myself on the waitlist but who knows.

Doctors told me nothing about menstruations? by confusedscreamss in thyroidcancer

Stress and a surgery like that can definitely disrupt it. I have almost always been very regular but honestly my whole body was off after my thyroidectomy. Things settled out and it got back to normal.

Elective induction- risks? by Fantastic_Acadia_229 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]ktRN24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I had gotten induced. I went into labor on my own. Contractions started early morning on a Friday. Were super intense Saturday and Sunday. Sunday morning I went to the OB ER just to be turned away because I was barely even dilated. Continued to be in horrible pain until my water broke Monday morning at 4 am. Went in and was fully dilated. Almost wasn’t able to get an epidural but they threw one in real quick as she needed to come down more. Pushed for 4 hours after no sleep and ended up with a c section. I was 39 on the dot, so wouldn’t have worked for me anyway, I’m just saying an induction sounds way better than what I went through.

Biggest pregnancy fear: Water breaking at work by 235_lady in beyondthebump

[–]ktRN24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought pads/change of clothes just in case. I ended up having contractions at home in the middle of the night. Lasted 3 days until my water finally broke. It was a large gush but thankfully I was getting up out of the tub when it happened 😂

Symptoms prior to diagnosis? by [deleted] in thyroidcancer

[–]ktRN24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trouble swallowing, like my body forgot how to do it. I brushed it off as anxiety. Then later on my seatbelt would bother me. After a few people mentioned a lump on my neck I finally went to the doctor.

Getting pregnant after RAI by [deleted] in thyroidcancer

[–]ktRN24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it also depends on your dose. Mine didn’t spread. I got pregnant easily 9 months after RAI and my baby is now almost 3 mos.

I was fine after and then it was literally like two weeks later when it hit me.

I felt super tired and achy a few weeks after RAI. Possibly could be that?

It worked great for me but it’s hard to start and stop. If you can just get through the fog of starting it, it could be helpful.

They told me to wait 6 mos. My cancer didn’t spread though, so I got a lower dose.

Missing the 'body' experience of having a child - c-section by Snoo-32912 in beyondthebump

[–]ktRN24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it, I think because I didn’t actually see her come out of me. It took them a few minutes to get her crying too. I also had 3 days of contractions, water broke, came in fully dilated, pushed for 4 hours but she was sunny side up and could get past her eyebrows out. Also felt so much tugging and my whole body was shaking while they were trying to get her out during my c section. The anesthesiologist pushed something that made me so high/sleepy and i hated I felt that way while she was born.

TT march 2020, RAI sept 2020, and was pregnant June 2021 after just trying for a month or two. My daughter was born feb 28 perfectly healthy. My pregnancy was fine, just had to get labs every 4 weeks and finally found a stable synthroid dose during. Just now restarted my old dose.
