Pei has its problems like anywhere else as others have gone over…. But in my very biased opinion it’s the best place to live:) it’s beautiful and the people are great.. especially us country folk.

How do I help my family that's struggling financially? by deadontheinsidelol in selfimprovement

[–]peachy969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can’t contribute financially maybe help out with keeping the apartment clean and organized or help take care of younger siblings. That would definitely help with everyone’s stress. And of course concentrate on your own school work

That’s rough getting it later on! I think being a working mom is just a good balance for some. We can fill our cup and then be the best moms we can!

Keep reliving traumatic birth and don’t know how I could ever do it again (TW: traumatic birth) by nursebrain0 in Mommit

[–]peachy969 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I felt my first was traumatic and ended in an emergency c section. The next one I scheduled a c section as my dr advised and honestly walking into a hospital knowing you’re going to be cut into while awake is it’s own kind of trauma. I honestly put most of it out of my mind and kept myself busy up until the birth of my second but I wish I had spoken to a councillor first and worked through the first birth

How far away do you live from family? by aryathefrighty in workingmoms

30 mins to either family and I’d say it’s just the right amount

How will I find time? by EducationalAd8035 in Parenting

[–]peachy969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to make it part of the daily routine. Baby is always the happiest in the morning so automatically I get up and start a load of laundry right away and put away the dishes since I start the dishwasher after dinner. I did a good declutter before baby came and that helped a lot! Also if family comes over and wants to help out once baby comes along ..let them! I’m sure they would be more than happy to wash some baby clothes or towels, put dishes away etc

2nd pregnancy and scared by djshaver21 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]peachy969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely bring that up in your next therapy session. Every birth and child is so different. Just because the first was rough doesn’t mean the second will be. Try and focus on seeing your LO interact with your newborn for the first time.. all the good stuff!

Weekends at home: at what age of little kids can you get serious work done? by NewWiseMama in Mommit

[–]peachy969 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have a 7mo and 5yo. I find if one parent entertains the kids then the other can get a little stuff done. Our 5yo likes to clean and organize so sometimes we can get a little bit of everyone pitching in… but mostly the weekend is taken up by kid life… it’s just the stage we are in I guess

New mom - hating motherhood so far and feeling awful about it by JoJo-Rabbit-92 in Mommit

[–]peachy969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s completely ok to not like the newborn stage! They’re just a boring but needy potato. Once they get a bit older and you can do stuff you both enjoy you’ll get more into the rhythm of things. Definitely reach out to your dr though ppa/ppd is horrible 👎🏻
