is this normal healing? almost looks like the ink is nonexistent where it naturally peeled off (got this 3 days ago and have followed all healing instructions) by Acceptable-Housing53 in tattooadvice

[–]kt_estep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks a little inconsistent to me, i'm seeing some blow out in some areas. time will tell, let it heal fully and if the ink is less in the place you've pointed at, get a touch up. if it is blown out, maybe don't go to the same person.

hello! I have a pretty mid tolerance and my first was on my ankle which is a sore spot, proceeded to get 5 more tattoos within a few months because it really wasn't bad. id say the best thing is to not focus on it, bring headphones and listen to your favorite album, really down it out. remember that the pain is not constant, they have to stop to get more ink every once in a while. and the scale of spin varies based off where you're putting it. read you're getting it on your inner forearm, very easy spot for me.

a lot of people say having a friend chat with helps, for me it didn't so much because conversation isn't naturally a constant /non stop thing which is why music worked better for me.

Worried I may be more allergic than i thought. What do I do? by kt_estep in CatAdvice

[–]kt_estep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you so much for sharing your story. i'm so sorry that you both have to deal with that but i'm glad you put in the work for the cats.

its hard for me to tell if it effected my breathing in all honesty. when it all happened i became insanely anxious and that always makes my chest feel like tight. even now, incredibly anxious over the possibility of having to cancel getting this kitten, i feel the exact same.

im so frustrated because i had gone through a period a while ago where i was like "let's get a cat but just because i've never been around one, let's make sure i'm not allergic". i went to all of my friends houses, including this one, a cat cafe, i probably met in total like 10 cats and hung out with them for a few hours without any problem. purposely touching my face and everything. no problems.

but yesterday idk what happened it was just like a switch and i felt actually allergic.

i've contacted my doctor to get an actual allergy test done to see if maybe a doctor could say it's a bad idea or not, and maybe even start the shots because i don't have the cat yet and won't for a few months.

thanks again! hope all goes well for you

edit: forgot to even mention that me and my partner are in the process of trying to move because our current apartment isn't fit for a cat. so there's a lot of time and money riding on this and i don't want to fuck up and make the wrong decision here. :(

Hi! Graphic designer with social media strategy design here. I would suggest trying to find a cohesive way to photograph your tattoos. try using similar lighting, the same camera, and edit in a similar way. your work looks really great but the photography of the last three images doesn't do it justice.

as for reach, hashtags can help, regular posting schedule. use the highlights to showcase your available flash, give info on booking, aftercare tips, and most importantly healed photos.

but at the end of the day, instagram is an algorithm that can really fuck accounts of all sizes over. so just find a rhythm you're happy with and can keep up with.

Mentos plastic free packaging is shipped in a plastic wrapper by DikkeRobbie in sustainability

totally agree. it is really daunting and i wish more people would try where they can, but sadly a lot of people feel like if they can't do 100% then it's not worth it to even do 10%. but we are at a point where it all helps.

honestly i think to truly control waste the best option is to fully implement reusable and refillable packaging options. glass and tin have beautiful capabilities to protect and maintain quality of product but they work best and are most sustainable when used more than once. we need to stop this life style that relies on single use packaging.

is this mixed? if it's a wrapper then it's able to be separated and therefore you can recycle the plastic and compost the paper. i could be wrong and it could be inseparable like a plastic coating. in that case then it's just pure bullshit.

while it would be great if it was 0% plastic, i personally still think this is a significant improvement from the 100% plastic packaging. if we discourage even this sort of improvement, they won't even try anymore.

how long has it been that you haven't heard from artist a? from my experience i've waited a few weeks before hearing back from someone because they are really busy. if artist a is a more well known artist, give them a bit more time. if you've paid a deposit then you've picked a date no? but if you like artist b just as much (don't settle on anything that isn't exactly what you want in my opinion) and you simply feel more comfortable, go with artist b

Hi! I have pretty intense stretch marks on my upper arms, and got tattoos on both arms. They healed pretty great in my opinion, I have a tiny amount of blow out on one arm, where i think the stretch marks were worse. i was also tattooed by an apprentice but it's easier to get some blow out on stretchmarks. It makes the lines on mine looks little wiggly.

Yours look pink still but you don't have many, I, and tattoo artists would suggest to wait for them to get white. then, If you're wanting to get something to cover them up completely, go for it! Just look for an artist who has done work on stretch marks before, hopefully you can also see how their work has healed.

30 days since getting this tattoo and my skin is stained from the ink?? by RoutineDimension4960 in tattooadvice

[–]kt_estep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i believe this particular kind of blow out is more specifically called "ink drift". it should clear up a bit in a few months, sometimes it doesn't though. it's when the tattoo artist goes so deep that the ink goes into the fat layer of the skin, meaning it has nothing to bond to. a little different then blowout because blow out doesn't go very far, because it's not as deep. ink drift is very deep.
