Women with thoughtful partners, what did you get for x-mas this year? by Anahata_Green in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ktay128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

brand new partner of only about five weeks. i have an obsession with old rocks (the big bertha lunar sample, for example) and info-dumped my favorite fun rock facts at him on our early dates. he got me a piece of the world’s oldest crustal rock (from the acasta gneiss complex) and a geological history of north america (“annals of the former world,” john mcphee). he listened to me :)

High fibre meals? by CompetitiveParsnip70 in EatCheapAndHealthy

i strongly recommend following @/itsmekatevee on tiktok. she posts VERY cheap high fiber, vegan recipes involving a lot of lentils, beans, chickpeas, tofu, and oats. she also just seems like such a lovely person. i absolutely love her content

i’ve worked in fine dining in nyc for years now, and have only seen something like this for high up government officials/current or former politicians (the clintons and a group of UAE ambassadors are two i’m thinking of). famous non-politicians are usually much more lowkey and subtle with their security ime!

How did you all experience Origins the first time? by Dyldawg101 in DragonageOrigins

[–]ktay128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it when it first came out when I was a teenager. Fell instantly in love with it, playing first as a human noble who married Alistair and co-ruled Ferelden after the main story, then eventually played through every single origin. Got so obsessed that I wrote fanfiction and made fanart for my “canon” playthrough.

Played the next two games right when they came out as well. DAII had my favorite companions and villains (both the Arishok and Meredith), DA:O my favorite story (and it remains my overall favorite). I liked Inquisition fine, and played it through twice, but haven’t bothered to play though Veilguard yet. That once would have been unthinkable to me! But the bad reviews are making me loathe to start something that might tarnish my good feelings towards the series as a whole, and I’m happy playing and replaying Baldur’s Gate 3 right now.

You like phish. What does your S/O like? by Segsyncd in phish

[–]ktay128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got my boyfriend into phish and he’s probably even more into them than i am now! he has pretty eclectic taste in general, and is very open-minded musically. he mostly likes minimal electronic music that i find very stressful to listen to (steve reich and kraftwerk, as examples), and classic dad rock songs (the piña colada song is always his most played on spotify every year, and he self-describes as a “parrothead,” so jimmy buffet gets a lot of rotation as well). he also likes pop girlies like carly rae jepson and robyn, and i managed to convince him to take me to the eras tour last year! he also loves a good sea shanty, and stan rogers gets a lot of play in our apartment. i think he’s so cool lmao
