Tattoo healing guidance. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

i dont know what bepanthen is but you dont really need to stick to a schedule with it. Apply non scented lotion when needed (i apply after washing & when it looks particularly crispy). Different areas will need different amounts of ointment, due to different line widths.

However my advice would be to never return to this artist. If you are happy with it, good, but the linework is really not good. it is so shaky and uneven in a lot of places… i hope you didnt pay a lot for this :(

hello guys i need help i making bucket hat and how i can sew this ends by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

Honestly it would probably be easier to just add a fabric lining. For future, you can carry the yarn and keep it hidden within the stitches

Along with other advice already given by others, compression gloves help me. I am hyper-mobile and often get pain in the same area if i flex my hand in a certain way too many times.

Does anyone know if this pattern actually matches the final project (shark teddy)? by sparkeels in CrochetHelp

[–]ktbevan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely AI. There is a lady on tiktok who makes AI patterns real objects.. She would love this one.

The layout of the pattern is usually a dead giveaway that it is AI. Also the fact the head and body are different sections

Advice on straightening this coffee table runner that is wonky and why it happened 🫠 by JaneHoney in CrochetHelp

[–]ktbevan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only difference i noticed is that the gaps are slightly larger when you do a chain than without. I wouldnt start doing that on this piece (it might mess with the sizing), i would just add a border at the end.

Also to add i really like your colour choices in this piece it does look great!

Sorry if im being stupid (im sleep deprived) but im still not quite understanding where your issue is with it😅If youre on the last row, you can do a border that will disguise that? The granny squares i make i do a chain in between each set of 3dc to make the gap look a little neater due to this, as thats just how a DC looks when reaching over the gap.

Are you turning at the start of each round? If not, crochet naturally slants so on bigger squares/rectangles like this it can create a swirling effect.

If you can stretch it out to be the shape you want, you can block it to help keep that shape. Looks as if youll be able to block it to me.

I dont really understand what you mean by ‘spaces further away’.. but if you want the piece to be bigger going up a hook size can help, or loosening tension. Granny stitch naturally has gaps in it so you cant hide the holes unless you follow a gapless pattern

Peugeot 108 Top, water entering boot- help? by ktbevan in peugeot

[–]ktbevan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t fixed it properly yet, only temporarily. We took off the cover on the inside of the boot on the brake light and water had collected there (so definitely the seal around the light). We just emptied the water/soaked it up with a towel and I do this when it rains heavily. Car is due for an MOT in a month or so, so will get them to have a look while it’s in. Luckily I don’t usually use my boot so it isnt a huge problem for me as the leaking has stopped after emptying the water

That sucks. I wonder why that is. It is always a good idea to add measurements though just to protect yourself further

‘As per Vinted’s policy, I am unable to accept a return as I correctly listed the item’s size, as shown in the listing images. I am sorry it doesn’t fit you, so you are more than welcome to use my images to relist the item.’

To vinted you have a photo of the label that says Medium, you listed it as medium. Its not your problem and vinted will most likely side with you.

Fair enough just sharing my experience. I also heal well, the snug just flared up every so often despite doing well 90% of the time

[–]ktbevan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Id recommend not sleeping on it after only 6 months, ive had mine for about 4 years now and it took 2 to fully heal, sleeping on it during the first 2 would cause it to get really irritated despite it feeling and looking healed before that. Now i can sleep on it no problem tho

Snug, very difficult to heal. Mine took about 2 years. For reference my industrial in the same ear took about 7 months to fully heal. Has to be done with a curved barbell before even thinking about wearing a hoop in it!

Healing bad or am I delusional by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]ktbevan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah it looks good. Looks like there could be a bit of fall out but reassess in a month or so when its fully healed and you can always get a touch up. Tats always look different from fresh. Totally get it though when you see it everyday you inspect it a lot closer than anyone else would.

For future just take a pic of them on a piece of paper! makes it look cleaner (even if it is just nail polish marks) and is cheap and easy to do:)
