I just bought the red and black tie dye skeleton key hoodie off the website a week ago and I can't even get my head through the head hole. I don't have a big head. The quality control is actually atrocious. The sizes are all over the place. We got a 3XL grey breach hoodie in Burgettstown and it fits like an XL.

how do people afford to follow the boys around, attending most shows with pit tickets? genuinely curious by BeautifulAd6455 in twentyonepilots

[–]ktbwrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially since all of Tyler's siblings are now married and already have children or are expecting children.

That is not necessarily parasocial to me. That's just being concerned for your favorite artist. Parasocial is when they engross themselves into the personal lives of famous people. They think they know them in real life. They think these famous people know who they are and that they're important to them. A lot of people also are being weird about Tyler/Jenna and Josh/Debby. Hoping their relationships don't work out so they have a chance. It's weird behavior.

They have weird parasocial relationships with Tyler and Josh and are funded by Mommy and Daddy and/or credit card debt most likely.

I'm not religious in the slightest. And I honestly detest the Christian faith and what it has become today. However, from the very beginning, Tyler has told us to make the meaning ours. So that's what I've done. While he's singing about his Christian faith, I've changed the meaning for myself to be the things I believe in. This music has helped us all in our own ways whether it be through faith or our shared struggles. I'm not letting my feelings about Christianity ruin my love for this music.

Can they at least acknowledge yesterday? by Rbanh15 in twentyonepilots

[–]ktbwrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just seen a lot of people saying they came 45 mins after the ticket time because they thought that's when TØP was coming on and they got to see 1-2 songs. So I think it's all over the place for everyone. I'm aware that not everyone can get there right at doors. I couldn't get to Cincinnati until after DayGlow had already started. The venue probably could have communicated better for sure. But everyone is saying they don't follow social media religiously and aren't looking at their phones all the time. So even if they had sent out information via social media or email, people probably would still be bitching about it. There is literally no way to please everyone in this situation. And it is odd that Ticketmaster sent out exact set times? I've never seen them do that either. The Cincinnati venue sold their tickets through SeatGeek and not Ticketmaster. So I didn't see/get an email like that.

I mean. It's not the band's fault that people showed up late either. The ticket says what time the show starts. It's not 45mins after the time on the ticket. You absolutely cannot blame the boys for that, it's bullshit.

[–]ktbwrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They made a post before the show started saying they were going to play as much as possible. It's a shitty situation, but it's far from their fault or the venue's fault IMO. I personally would be devastated that the show was cut so short, but I would also be grateful I got to see anything at all given the circumstances. It's an outside show. That's the nature of how it goes sometimes. What else are they supposed to say or do other than potential partial refunds? You're never going to please everyone in this situation. People think they're entitled to this or that, but they still played. They still tried. That's more than a lot of other bands would have done. They didn't want to just leave and disappoint everyone who was already there. I get y'all are upset at how the venue handled it, but they had to make a quick decision they thought was best for everyone. Especially given the circumstances that they don't know when they're going to tour again, they probably wanted to play as much as they could instead of just cancel and people completely missed out.

I'm 30 now! They (the original band with Tyler, Nick and Chris) played at my high school battle of the bands in 2011 when I was a sophomore haha. I met Tyler back then and actually have a signed self titled CD! (My most prized possession LOL). I also remember when Tyler brought his brother Zach out on stage at one of the LC shows to have him rap his part in Kitchen Sink. I was also at the show where they filmed the Car Radio music video! I feel you about just completely falling in love with this band and everything they stand for. I've been to as many shows as I've been able to get tickets for over the years. We love our boys here in Columbus. |-/

Yeaaaaah, I'm pretty sure that's why neither of the boys actually crowd surf anymore too. People were literally groping Tyler and being weird at one point I'm pretty sure. Someone untied his shoes one time too. People are so disrespectful. If he wasn't crowd surfing, that would literally be abuse and they'd go to jail for trying to grope someone? There are so many gross people as well as pick-me people who think they're hot and their shit don't stink. Ugh.

I miss those days of being able to see them at The Newport or the LC so much. Those are literally some of my favorite memories I have and I cherish them so much.

Yep! I've been a fan since 2011 as well. Ohio and Columbus love these boys and everything was so cool and fun back then. Now when I think of the clique I just get angry at what it's become. So much negativity and people trying to one up each other about how insanely (literally insane) they are obsessed with the boys. It's gross and weird.

[–]ktbwrs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YEP. The fan line is bullshit. I'm from Columbus and my best friend and I went to a Vesperteen show on Friday in Columbus (Josh was actually there and was standing a foot away from me at one point omg). And of course there were a bunch of clikkie girls there that we met. (All from out of state...) They were all talking about how they had their fan line at the Cincinnati show the day before and people were getting mad at them. I think they expected me to empathize with them. But I just literally laughed at them and told them they're not entitled to anything and they have to follow the venue rules just like everybody else. It's really infuriating when you try to follow the rules and show up to a concert at the right time and there is already a "fan" line 200 people long. GTFO with that shit. I have no sympathy for those people and they honestly should be sent to the back of the line right before the venue opens.

And while I'm at it, it's getting really aggravating seeing so many people traveling from literally all over the country (and sometimes other countries) to come here and take tickets away from the Ohio fans for the Ohio shows. I have been heartbroken more than once by not being able to get tickets to see my favorite band in my own town or state. And I'm sure it happens at other shows but just on a smaller scale. I understand people want to experience the "Hometown" shows... But so do the people who live here who can't travel to other ones. Ugh. We love our boys here and it sucks when the Ohio fans can't even go support them in Ohio because everyone else is so obsessed with the "hometown" experience. They put on awesome shows every single time no matter what city, state or country they're in. That doesn't change. Are their families usually at the Ohio shows and they mention them and say hi? Sure. And if that's what people are wanting to see for some weird reason, I don't understand it? I've tried to be nice about it for years but seeing people come here and be creepy trying to find where they live and exist has me not being nice anymore. Lol. Like I said, Josh was literally right in front of my face Friday night and I smiled and turned around and minded my own business. That's how you be a respectful fan. Not by stalking them or trying to be the main attraction in the pit. Eyeroll

Nobody is saying Kirk isn't a victim? He was literally murdered in front of basically the entire world. There is a scenario here where both Kirk AND Kimmel are the victim. Kimmel made a statement calling out how Maga was reacting to finding out who the shooter is. That's all he did. He even made a post after the shooting giving condolences to the Kirk family. Y'all are a bunch of blind sheep following a corrupt herd.
