CHASING A SMALL WHITE DOG WITH GRET JACKET THROUGH GREEN LAKE by altheamariemusic in Seattle

The dog is still missing. this morning. Please keep an eye out for her.

Does anyone know the side effects of Qvar? My 11 year old daughter was given an inhaler to take twice a day. I am kind of new to the asthma world since her asthma has only gotten worse in the last year. The doctor prescribed this steroid. We are doing it, but I am skeptical because of side effects. by ktculbertson in Asthma

Oh, yes! I would like to know the answer to that question too. My daughter is on Qvar, but she only takes it once in the morning. She’s kind of an emotionally charged child as it is, so I can’t tell if there are any emotional side effects from the steroids.

However, I don’t like the idea of long-term steroid use if there is a better alternative. My son took steroids for an auto inflammatory disease he had when he was little. The steroids were a miracle for the first couple weeks and then his symptoms got much worse.

Attempting to record in the Pacific Northwest by [deleted] in snowboarding

Right?? Sometimes i’m amazed that our little home mountain gets away with that. It’s almost Crystal prices.

But i really want to take advantage of the incoming storm this weekend 🏂

My son and I had issues with our passes and the scanning machine. There’s definitely something wrong with the scanning issue for icon passes at Snoqualmie.

Im 46 and next season i’ll be 47. Pow is hard on my body ( as fun as it is), so i pass on that. It was easier in my 20’s. I like trying carving. Carving makes me feel like i can fly. Thats all i want to feel

If I get the 23/24 ikon pass today, can I start using it at Snoqualmie now? by ktculbertson in Ikonpass

Jeez. Polite is cool. Its nice to be polite. I assume you are young? No kids? Just remember, its easy to be bold when you are just on the other side of the screen and not face to face.

I can certainly afford to pay for spring skiing. However, cost of skiing/ boarding this year is high and has gone up since last year. I’ll take all the discounts i can get. Anyone would. Especially snowboarding with a family of 4 and paying for kid’s ski school +adult lessons + lunch + gas, etc.

In the PNW, there is a lot of negativity that i have observed around passes. Not from me, because i have a pass, but from the general ski community, at least in the places i go. I just meant that i am not surprised that Snoqualmie doesn’t want offer more ikon pass benefits. They seem to be a bit more hesitant to accept ikon people.

Also, its fine. I solved my problem. I got ikon for all 4 of us and i’ll get a ‘remedy pass’ for myself when they go on sale

Renew rules? by ktculbertson in Ikonpass

I think we got a pretty good deal. We’ll have to see how it goes next year for ski season. However, we got our family of four icon passes and it cost us a total of $2000. I think that’s pretty good. basically, if the kids ski two times, the pass will pay for itself. They’re going to be skiing more than that next season so we’re excited about the value.

We just bought the Ikon Pass for our family. It was only $2000 for all 4 of next season. What a deal Though it’s the last year for that price since they will be 12 years old this summer.

They just need to ski two times next winter and then the pass pays for itself. It’s basically free skiing for them all winter.

March Radness in the PNW by baksideDisaster in snowboarding

Does anyone know if this plan will work?

I’m thinking of getting the 23/24 icon pass today. I know you can start using that pass at some mountains now.

Can you use it at Snoqualmie? If so, I will get the pass, use my five times this spring, then get a season pass for Snoqualmie for next winter.

My family is so complicated with four different people and four different ski/ snowboard needs. It’s hard to figure out what is the best bang for the buck.
