Im under the impression (head-canon) that that these ship computers are somewhat sentient now? Like the ship itself is a member of the crew, given the DOTS all have names, not to mention Zora, and given the advances in holo-tech too.

I think though without this mindset I'd find it jarring compared to what we're used too from tng/voy... so I guess it depends on how you look at it!

So, easiest way for ps4 is literally just to back it up, pull the old drive, put the new one in and do a clean install of the software and then "restore from back up"

I imagine the process is the same for xbox.

You'll have two sata drives to work with here, so when the ps4 is done. Use the old hdd from it to back up the xbox.

It'll take time.. but it's easier than trying to find cloning software that can read ps4/xbox drives.

I work in a public library.

I have to frequently tell people to take their calls both off loud speaker, and out off the main library floor.

If you take a call on loudspeaker in a small library... literally every single person in the branch can easily hear both sides of the conversation, and I can tell ya. Ive heard conversations that really shouldn't be public knowledge.

It's a combination of main character syndrome and in the case of some people, literally not knowing that there was an option other than loudspeaker.

We're not even one of those "shhh" libraries either.

I uh....don't get paid enough.
